The labs are in a war competing to produce the best frontier models. The rest of us are competing for the best wrappers of those models to produce the best coding agents. The IDE wars is heating up.

there are times when codex solves something that opus was fucking up, and other times when opus completely one shots a problem codex was stuck on for 10+ runs. you have to work with both, one is not enough.

@shallowchal It's not about "not supporting the war". It's about supporting it harder so we fucking win, and get these prices down. Giving in would achieve nothing.

What’s your price to stop supporting the war? Is it $4 diesel? $5 diesel? When groceries jump 30% or when your business margins disappear? Or is it later, when flights stop and shelves thin out, when your kids’ future gets traded for “stability”? No one withdraws support because of headlines. They withdraw when it hits home. So be honest. Is your line economic pain, or do you wait until it becomes personal? Leave it in the comments. #AustraliaFirst 🇦🇺🫡

@bubalov @SpectatorOz Brother, we don’t have our own business. Australia is not a player on the field. We don’t even have our own energy sufficiency, we rely almost completely on imports. I’d say USA business IS Australia’s business. If not that, it’ll be China.

@SpectatorOz Doing anything for the USA is not in Australia's interest. We should mind our own business. This catastrophe is of their own making.

Are we putting America in the doghouse for acting unilaterally? Sending a frigate to the Strait of Hormuz is in Australia's national interest - both for supply, and for our status as a US ally. Article | spectator.com.au/2026/03/why-we…

New release for Durango Code, some optimization changes: * Terminals and other nodes now lazy load as you scroll around the canvas though preview is always visible. * Terminals keep attached for 10 minutes even when you close the app or switch projects. What this means is that you can effectively have 1000s of terminals open on a single canvas, and another 1000 in another project, and hope between them with zero performance issues.

@galdawave @theo How are you embedding T3 Code in your app? What is this sorcery?

inspired by @theo's cmux and niri video to build the dream setup. Taking a stab at it with libxghostty, a browser that actually keeps you signed in, and T3Code :)

@galdawave How did you embed VSCode? Is it a lightweight version? Also, which browser is that?

@jankrom123 @galdawave @tam2 @theo If the apps could expose their view in a similar way to libghostty it could be possible that way (like what Cmux did). But it’s not feasible with just native apps.

Ghostty was fun, but time for something else. I still love opencode, too but with CC plans dead on it… I’m feeling lost. Full GUI? T3 Code? Opencode GUI? Warp? Back to cursor? Try CC again? Raw Codex? My 🧠 hurts and I just need to keep shipping.

@jankrom123 @galdawave @tam2 @theo I tried making a custom screen compositor inside a VM, but it wasn’t macOS anymore. I couldn’t do it in a good way. My conclusion was it wasn’t possible on a mac. You’d have to mod a linux system for it.

@_bryantmejia @tannerlinsley You don’t lose track of which tab is doing what. It’s like the Codex App and Cmux rolled into one for the best of both worlds!

@d0xxed @galdawave @theo I think that is the answer. The ultimate tool is an infinite canvas as the screen compositor and you open your apps in it. Apple will never allow this.

@galdawave @theo This looks great, I was going to build something similar with a canvas style view, assume we can also add a tab for an ide too?

@galdawave @tam2 @theo That is a big challenge. It’s next to impossible, I struggled integrating ghostty into it.

@tam2 @theo Yea, it really depends on the IDE, planning to add more app support, sadly apple doesn't make embedding apps inside of apps easy
