Rene Mauricio Flores-Lue was convicted in Rock County, Minn., of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, after a plea deal. The prosecutor originally charged him with child rape. His sentence? A mere two years and $285 in fees and fines. With a final removal order on file, ICE special agents arrested him during a targeted operation in Luverne, Minn., April 14. By the time we arrested him, he had already racked up an extensive criminal history, including multiple traffic offenses and a DUI conviction.

MINNEAPOLIS: Troopers were dispatched for a suspect spotted trying to steal electrical wires out of a utility box near a frontage road to 11th Ave. S. The first Trooper on scene was quickly in a foot chase with the suspect, though he was apprehended a short distance away, near 11th Ave. S. & E. 14th St., by around 9:45 a.m. A K9 was requested to help search for items and possible contraband that the suspect is believed to have tossed while he was fleeing on foot.
