In a real estate conversation: "We're talking about a market-way, rather than a market-place. It's still a market, just not placed on platforms." If you want to be in this conversation, and de-cartelize real estate, come to vrmcuco2021a.eventbrite.com, on 19 April. HT @RealEstateCafe

@DeanLand Either, but I lean toward no comma. You can also lean toward no space if you want to make butno a word. Bonus: #butno.

Quick punctuation/grammar query: when writing, as a sentence, "But no." Should there be a comma between the two words? Note: that's the whole sentence, those two words.

The issue here isn't the tracking, it is how that information is used. If I grant authorization for an app to know my location to tell me the weather, that should be the end of it. But it is not. And reading @doctorow's Little Brother right now only makes that more clear.
Edward Snowden@Snowden

Your smartphone broadcasts your exact location thousands of times per day to dozens of different companies. Each has the power to follow individuals wherever they go, in near-real time. That’s not a glitch in the system. It is the system. nytimes.com/interactive/20…
