Another day, another syringe litter clean up. The fact that I have to go out into the community to personally clean up improperly disposed of needles is insane. It is time for @NYCHealthCommr to finally implement the syringe buy back program we passed into law two years ago.

@ScumbagsGuide The sound was horrendous. Having trouble remembering a show that sounded as bad.

Orchid absolutely ripped but the sound at Warsaw was fucking atrocious, no excuse for a venue that big.

@AskTSA TSA at MDW prohibited masa for tortillas. Accurate? Interpretation or rules? Had to throw it out - was day trip and had no checkable bag.

@binghott 2/2 and the customer called to ask if the milk in the drink was from some other animal…because of this pig sticker. And so then I started posting about how we use pig milk…and now customers post their drinks made with pig milk.

I upset a client with one of my posts recently. They had made a mistake that I corrected and shortly thereafter, I posted about that situation (without naming them) on Twitter and LinkedIn. They saw it and knew it was about them and were upset. The truth is, this isn’t the first time this has happened. I’m sorry for hurting anyone’s feelings, it’s not my intent with any of my content. I only share these things because they’re common issues that I’ve encountered repeatedly and I want to spread the word quickly so others don’t have to make these mistakes too. I do not want to rub anyone’s face in anything, but rather to share that learning with my broader audience. Most of my content is inspired by real issues and almost none of them are unique scenarios, but rather common trends. So if you’ve ever read one of my posts and thought “hey, was that about me?” please know that: 1. It’s really not about you, many others have made that same mistake before, myself included! 2. Mistakes are great when you learn from them, and even greater when you can use them to help teach others to avoid that mistake too. 3. You can be proud to know that you’ve helped others to avoid the same fate. 4. Sometimes I’m a heartless jerk who forgets about other people’s feelings. I’m sorry, I make mistakes and am learning from them too!

@elliottj07 I love Super Nice bakery. That’s actually my favorite bakery in the city. However, I am saying that more commercialization would be a benefit to the community to. Perhaps more pharmacies, and chain stores. This way excess revenue is poured into the community.

@DannyMacaroons @lais_kar Yes, but it's all these weird sliding scales. The greater the product, the less important the brand. The newer the category, the less important the brand. Established product and category? Needs a really strong brand.

A little bit of branding can go a long way, but an overdose of branding can kill performance. Brand is a function of performance marketing, not the other way around.

@binghott @lais_kar Would it be fair though possibly oversimplified to paraphrase this as "no one cares about your new brand, they (hopefully) only care about your product...until they care about your brand."

@lais_kar I don't think I'd look at it that way. I'd try to establish the basic brand early on (maybe hire a brand consultant) but don't obsess over it for your ads.

@binghott @MatthewGattozzi @shaelakm The only thing missing to me was a direct "these blades are just as good as the 25$ ones" because that's what you open with, that Harry's is cheaper, but if it's not just as good, who cares. My .02. Hope it's helpful. 2/2
