Thank you @taxgirl for including me in your 1st @tax must-follow list. It is an appreciated honor to be included with so many respected #taxpros. I see some new names and look forward to getting to know them on LI and here on twitter. #Gratitude and Congratulations to all.
Kelly Phillips Erb@taxgirl

When I joined @tax one of the first things I was asked was if I would keep my must-follow #Twitter list. I wanted to keep it going, but make it different. So, it's shorter, and I’ve added #LinkedIn. No one appears on both lists. #socialmedia #tax #taxpros news.bloombergtax.com/tax-insights-a…

"Magnusson, a seascape painter and mother of five, was in her mid-80s when she wrote a bestselling book, “The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning.” It introduced a concept—cleaning up your own mess before you die—that resonated around the world." "Magnusson practiced what she preached. There was little left to tidy up after she died at the age of 91 on March 12 in Gothenburg, Sweden, where she was living in a retirement home."

Margareta Magnusson had a moral mission: Get rid of all your stuff before you die, rather than leaving a dreary chore for friends or families. Magnusson practiced what she preached. There was little left to tidy up after she died at the age of 91 on March 12. on.wsj.com/41jm6m0

"Notably, what makes someone critical isn’t necessarily what we assume. Rank-and-file workers tend to think high achievement is the ticket to raises and job security, but business leaders aren’t doling out money for past performance." “It really depends on where an organization sees the most value being created in the future,” says Tauseef Rahman, a partner at professional-services firm Mercer.

If the IRS says it issued your refund but you haven’t received it, your refund may have been lost, stolen, or misplaced. If this is the case, you can ask the IRS to do a refund trace. Learn more: ow.ly/E4sP50YuPtj #taxrefund

Most small business owners misread this line on their financials. Owner Distributions are not a business expense, not a salary, and they won't lower your tax bill. It's simply your profit coming home with you. 💸 #SmallBusiness #BusinessFinance #KnowYourNumbers @CPATaxTeam

It’s a bit ironic that so many tech founders and executives find me through AI, only to hear my first piece of advice—don’t rely on AI. I recently addressed a rolling GRAT question from a young married couple and discovered they didn’t yet have a will or umbrella insurance.

@adammarkowitzEA An Austin friend came for my dad's COL last Sat. She told an 8yo family member, "eat the #dessert first; you want to make sure you have room." I told her I have not heard that before. She replied, "Grandma's rules." No one disagreed. #newexcuse

#Decisions "Clear thinking is about pausing long enough to choose your response." Avoid the reaction "defaults: emotion, ego, social pressure and inertia."
Rachel Strella@RachelStrella

Reading Clear Thinking by @shaneparrish. He argues that poor decisions usually aren’t about intelligence. They are the result of four defaults: emotion, ego, social pressure and inertia. Clear thinking is about pausing long enough to choose your response.
