Physical therapists are often the unsung heroes of our health care system. Especially for our disabled veterans, PTs provide critical rehabilitation services to ensure patients get well. This week, we are cosponsoring three bipartisan bills to help them help the people they care for every day: ▪️H.R. 4829, the Physical Therapist Workforce and Patient Access Act of 2023, a bill to expand Medicare Rural Health Clinic Services and Federally Qualified Health Center Services to include physical therapy services. ▪️H.R. 7618, the SAFE Act, legislation to include physical therapists and occupational therapists as health professionals for purposes of the annual wellness visit under the Medicare program. ▪️H.R. 3440, the Protecting Rural Telehealth Access Act,  a bill to permanently expand coverage of video and audio-only telehealth services.
