The Netherlands is introducing a 36% tax on unrealised investment gains - stocks, bonds and crypto. You owe 36% on paper profits even if you haven't sold. But that's not the worst part... You will still owe taxes on those assets EVEN IF they had fallen in value before the tax bill arrived. The Shopify CEO called it "the dumbest thing any government on planet earth is pursuing right now." He's not wrong.

trying to genuinely understand this bc this feels...impossible in his lifetime? $7.5T is crazy, but okay, doable. but 1 MILLION people on Mars?? Yea I believe we will get there eventually, but Elon is 54yrs old Either he thinks he's gonna live to 200 or we'll do this in ~30yrs?

SITUATION DETECTED: SpaceX has approved a new compensation package for Elon Musk ahead of its IPO. 200M super-voting shares if SpaceX hits a valuation of $7.5T and establishes a Mars colony of 1M people. He gets nothing if they miss targets.

🚨BREAKING: SpaceX's board has approved an unprecedented compensation package for Elon Musk ahead of the largest IPO in history. → 200 million super-voting shares — IF SpaceX hits a $7.5 TRILLION valuation AND establishes a permanent Mars colony of at least 1 million people. → Up to 60.4 million additional shares — IF SpaceX hits further valuation targets AND operates space-based data centers delivering 100 terawatts of compute (roughly 100,000 nuclear reactors' worth). → Zero shares if the targets aren't met. For scale on that compute target: 100 terawatts is roughly 30x the total electricity generated on Earth today — across every grid, every country, every use. That means the vast majority of his compensation is contingent on building roughly 2,000x the planet's entire data center capacity in orbit — and putting 1-million human beings on Mars. Before you call this insane, remember 2018: Tesla's board approved a $56 billion pay package tied to 12 milestones Wall Street called impossible. Tesla was worth ~$50 billion. The plan required a $650 billion market cap. The press mocked it. Experts called it absurd. Musk hit every milestone. The pattern might be repeating. This time the goalpost have just moved from Earth to Mars.

I know Tesla is getting pretty beat up over this, so I hate to make another post on the topic… but I just am so surprised that they released this, saw all the negative feedback initially and then thought the only change needed was to add “navigation” as an option. This needs to be an Opt-In thing - people spending $100 a month on FSD who aren’t enthusiasts like us will VERY quickly get annoyed at this pop up. It also needs to be revamped - it should not indefinitely block your map screen. You’re going to get so much bad data as a result - people will just pick one at random to make the huge popup window go away. You have a very vocal community @Tesla_AI with a lot of very smart people giving you great ideas. Please take that feedback to heart and fix this - even if that means temporarily removing it until you have it more refined. Much ❤️ as always
Dirty Tesla@DirtyTesLa

None of these fit my disengagement reason and I don't want to send Tesla wrong data so I didn't pick one. But now I can't enter my destination into the nav so I'm trapped here forever

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump TERMINATED the Obama-era mandate that pushed auto start-stop systems into vehicles. You know the one. You stop at a red light. Your engine shuts off. Every. Single. Time. Doesn’t matter if you hate it. Doesn’t matter if it wears down the starter. Doesn’t matter if you have to turn it off manually every time you start the car. It was forced in the name of “efficiency.” Trump just ended it. No more government telling automakers how to design your engine. No more being annoyed at every stoplight. Build better cars. Let consumers choose. Common sense is back.

Elon Musk said saving for retirement becomes pointless in 10 to 20 years. Not speculation. Math. Musk: “Don’t worry about squirreling money away for retirement in like ten or 20 years. It won’t matter.” We passed the event horizon. Retirement savings assumes scarcity persists. It won’t. AI and robotics collapse labor costs to zero. Living costs follow. You’re not saving for security. You’re saving for a world that stops existing. Musk: “If any of the things that we’ve said are true, saving for retirement will be irrelevant.”

They're going after Satoshi's coins and I can’t believe people support this… 500,000 BTC Dormant for over a decade Worth roughly $40 billion Paul Sztorc is planning a Bitcoin fork called "eCash" for August 2026 They would redistribute those coins to early investors and a treasury fund Seriously messed up because if you can vote to take Satoshi's coins, nobody's coins are safe "Not your keys, not your coins" but only if a committee doesn’t decide otherwise 🤦‍♂️ Continuing to destroy Web3 day after day and you should immediately block anyone who supports it

⚠️ NEW BITCOIN FORK PROPOSES REDISTRIBUTING SATOSHI’S COINS Long-time Bitcoin developer, Paul Sztorc, is proposing a fork that would reassign part of Satoshi Nakamoto’s ~1.1M . The plan is to copy Bitcoin into a new chain called eCash with native eCash tokens. “Hold 4.19 BTC at the time of the fork, get 4.19 eCash. You can sell it, keep it, or ignore it entirely,” he said on X. However, certain wallets (like Satoshi’s) would be flagged as “inactive,” and their balances would be redistributed under the new rules. Supporters argue this could “revive lost coins” and make supply more usable. Critics call it outright theft, warning it sets a dangerous precedent for rewriting ownership.

Long-time Bitcoin developer, Paul Sztorc, is proposing a fork that would reassign part of Satoshi Nakamoto’s 1.1M BTC. The plan is to copy Bitcoin into a new chain called eCash with native eCash tokens. I remember back in 2017 when Bitcoin forked into Bitcoin Cash. I sold mine immediately and bought more Bitcoin with the earnings. But this time I recommend extreme caution when receiving this eCash, because the fork is not the same. Unlike the 2017 BCH fork (which was mostly about block size and kept a clean 1:1 airdrop with no coin reallocation), this proposal includes manually reassigning a chunk of Satoshi’s coins to “early investors” in the new project. That’s a massive red flag and a precedent that could erode trust in any fork claiming to be “Bitcoin-like.” Many are already calling it theft or a social attack. One big practical risk: once the eCash airdrop hits your wallet, actually moving or spending those coins could be dangerous. The new chain will likely launch with very low hash rate and weak security, making it vulnerable to 51% attacks, reorgs, or double-spend exploits, especially early on. Without proper replay protection setup (or if wallets/exchanges mess it up), you risk accidental cross-chain issues or losing funds. Best to let it sit untouched until the dust settles (if it ever does). I’ll be watching closely, but my default is to treat any claimed eCash as worthless . DYOR, don’t get rugged, and remember: if it touches Satoshi’s coins this way, it’s playing a dangerous game.

@JuniperDriver Thank you! I hope most people understand that my feedback is coming from a place of “admiration” towards FSD. I don’t do it to hate on the tech or Tesla in general - it’s all in the hopes that it’ll improve the tech in the long run.

I really hope FSD’s highway behaviour and navigation gets fixed soon. I was sitting in the passenger seat this morning while Jae used FSD. We drove 45 minutes downtown, almost the entire drive was on the highway. Watching her struggle with FSD’s decisions made me realize there’s a lot of work to be done before your “average” person can use it without any issues. Something as simple as using the HOV lane, FSD still cannot do. It randomly pops in and out with no real rhyme or reason. It will camp the fast lane while the slow lane is empty (causing two different people to flash their lights at us). Was the whole drive safe? Yeah for sure, and that’s great! But there was probably 10+ times that Jae had to intervene to get the car to do the “right” thing - including taking over so it didn’t miss our exit. I absolutely love FSD, I think it’s game changing technology. But when it struggles with “basic” driving I can see why any non-enthusiasts would quickly dismiss the technology. You can get mad at me for my opinion on this all, but I think it’s truth 🤷‍♂️
