I watched an interview of Amy Grant and Vince Gill talking about their 25 years of marriage, and I found their origin story quite depressing. They were both married, with kids. They both aggressively flirted and pursued each other while married. They insist nothing physical happened until after they both divorced, and I actually believe them - but they were communicating intense feelings to each other 7 years before deciding to divorce. That's a long time to be living a double life. Vince wrote a very intense song about her and sang it to her in 1993. YEARS before they finally divorced. They still seem to feel a lot of shame. Amy passes the buck and describes herself as a victim of inevitable forces beyond her control. She calls it "one of life's mysteries" and says that "life orchestrated" events so that they would be together. She even said "stars aligned." Not once does she mention God, or His will. Vince says, "The hardest part was people thinking we did something wrong." (Well? I hate to break it to you, Vince, but...) And they look down at the ground telling this story. So much discomfort, I honestly squirmed watching it. I think most celebrities wouldn't be that uncomfortable with this story. As far as celebrity and musician love stories go, it is super typical and routine. But Amy was such an outspoken Christian prior to her 30-something decisions. She wasn't supposed to take the wide road that all celebrities take. People thought she was on the narrow path. In her 20s, Amy Grant sang a song with these lyrics: "I have decided, I'm gonna live like a believer Turn my back on the deceiver I'm gonna live what I believe."

The best thing that could’ve happened to Talarico’s campaign was the Trump administration trying to censor him. The Streisand Effect in action. It’s long past time for the FCC to get out of the content-regulation business. It’s unconstitutional and makes no sense in today’s media environment. The interview is already on YouTube with 700k views.

I wish DOJ had provided that explanation earlier instead of redacting then unredacting their names. They have failed to protect survivors, created confusion for innocent men, and have protected rich and powerful abusers. We must have full transparency and the truth.
