@ilyamiskov Technics 1200 turntables being off the market for 10 years come to mind before they released the MK7. If the OG creator isn't still releasing the product, how else can you support if you don't have the deep pockets?

This isn’t simply a price question. It’s also a deeper conversation about whether or not you want to support thieves that sell clones of the OG product. Do you feel bad about not supporting the true creator of this product by buying the knockoff? Should you care at this point if the original product is literally not available for years anymore?

Question. There’s an original product, that’s not being sold for years at this point. The only way you can get it is on aftermarket, for an insane price. Then there’s the Aliexpress clone of that product widely available, with 95% the same look and quality and it costs around 20 times less than the original. Which one would you get?

The top 20 on OpenSea? The bottom 100 are on equal footing. You can surpass them… just you, all alone as an individual with zero funding, within a couple years. See the top brands at Target? You can go toe to toe with them in 10. There are no blue chips. I checked. Go for it.

For all the parents out there, when did you move your baby from a bassinet in the bedroom to a crib in their own room?

@SuperMugatu For better or worse: Sort of like how the internet reduced friction in the marketplace of ideas and we've had a cambrian explosion of ideas that move at the speed of human emotion?

Ui experiment from ages ago for a fictional game where you start as a badly preserved mummy that needs to suck the life out of bad people and steal their body parts to become whole again and help humans. You can scare humans away but only kill the evil ones #ui 🧵.

This is the discourse a future English major who doesn't know why he just flunked the math exam. Technowatermellon @DavidSacks's understanding of finance confirms the theory by Marc Cohodes @AlderLaneEggs that if it weren't for free money, the fellow would be selling hod dogs.

It’s painful for me to watch so many smart pundits and politicians on both the right and the left buy into a media narrative that seeks to blame “wealthy speculators” or “tech bros” or VCs for a banking crisis that ultimately started in Washington. Let me explain. 🧵
