I got one of these hand cracked fillers from MBL last year. It's excellent to use, I also get natural hog casings & seasonings from there too, they have been really helpful. I really quite enjoy it - would be happy getting back to our Kraut roots and team up to make a swag of sausages oneday. You see any deer your way?

Having a week living my 'thrive-off-the-land' prepper dream. Shot 2 fallow deer Thurs night with a mate, he taught me some good skills about gutting in the field Hung them Thurs, got to skinning this morn, 3rd time I've done it, improving every time, enjoy learning the craft.

@agbyte_leet Very nice! Yeah definetly! Had mick the butcher out last week and we got a few beef snags done up, thought it would be a cool to learn going forward! Let’s get the rest of the hay baled and the grain off and I’m sure I can find something to turn into sausages!!

Sausage fest Sunday has been exceptional. Diced the venison, pork shoulder & then put it thru the mincer. Ratio of 2/3 venison, 1/3 pork. Mixed in some seasoning & then into the sauso stuffer. Used hog casings, ended up with 30kg snags, it takes quite a while do. Also cut 10kg of schnitzels, they are divine, had a cheeky one for breakfast.

Let me be very clear @theGRDC and @meatlivestock the very moment you piss our levy up the wall of Climate Change and NetZero in the pipe dream that you believe we can stop the climate changing. That is the day I will hold back my levy payment! Which farmers are with me? Repost

@JakeToster not throwing stones or anything, but this’d make a nice hay cut. A few acres around like it too.

@James_Stacey_ and @CorbinSchuster whats the 2025 hay season doing? Price, demand and forecast. I suspect its still very high, our pastures won't keep up My true question, do I cut a wheat crop or buy in the hay 🤷‍♂️ looking like 3.5+tn DM, but yield potential is pretty good too

This is how out of touch @SALibMedia is in South Australia, Want to do a story about the drought and try to put pressure on the government and you head to the horse paddocks in North Adelaide, to try make it look “rural” 🙄
Vincent Tarzia, MP@VincentTarzia

Labor can make big promises, but we continue to see our farmers being left behind. The Government’s drought relief funding has met farmers with lengthy delays, with some waiting over three months for what is considered “emergency” relief funding.
