Carwow just released a new video to its 11 million YouTube subscribers titled: "Why Tesla Full Self Drive is Pointless!" @carwowuk misleads its viewers into thinking Tesla’s Autopilot is FSD, even though FSD hasn’t been approved in the UK yet. Autopilot isn’t meant for city driving, yet they test of bunch of scenarios that Autopilot wasn't built to do in the first place....

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier. Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

@teslascope @greentheonly (HW3) looks like 2026.8.3 update switched the trip weights in service to bytes instead of showing 1.15gb it’s almost the same, but wanted to point out that difference. Shows they are doing something with it. 2026.8 had no change, so this is new with .3

It's pretty interesting how my fiber connection can be more expensive than a Starlink subscription. How can sending thousands of satellites into space be cheaper than a 20 year old cable in the ground?

@AndyZeGerman Why would it disengage though? Only the user would cause that. It's impossible to not know it disengaged.

I will get a ton of blowback for what I am about to say, but here goes. I have let people use FSD on all of my Teslas since I first got it. Over all the years I have seen the same issue over and over again. When they are unfamiliar, they did not notice when it disengaged. The sound of disengagement is not very loud and can easily be missed, when inexperienced. I am not saying that Tesla was at fault, but it would be nice to have a default setting and clear voice and visual announcement, that FSD has been disengaged. Have said so in my live streams as well. Then there could be an advanced setting where you turn that "off" to basically what it is right now. It can be missed for beginners, as some touch the wheel or tap the brakes, not knowing that they actually disengaged. Again, I said what I said, but if you disagree, I ask you to let some none Tesla drivers drive your car.

Anyone who says 'this looks bad' is completely braindead. This is INCREDIBLE. Also they HAVE to do this because RAM is going to be insanely expensive and no one's gonna be able to afford a new computer/console lmao.

I think that's right, just not sure if there is any car on the road like this. Tesla must have long ago spoken to NHTSA because they've said production is next month, and they haven't applied for any exemptions still. Also, we are seeing both of them on road testing. There might not be side mirrors but there is definitely smoke and mirros.

This is the most important part of the Cybercab! This vehicle has certification labels which means it’s achieved compliance with all applicable U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) This is why they don’t need and can bypass regulatory waivers or the exemption that’s capped at 2500 Zoox was not able to get this safety certification so their only recourse was the exemption. Waymo still has not announced any Robotaxi first designed vehicle so can only use traditional cars

@mrfundman @JowuaLife All yours, my guys. Thinking you'd attach it to a clip or suction on the back of the Tesla screen, and it keeps the Starlink tilted, unable to move, and out of sight as much as possible to prevent blocking of view.

Nice but wrong place for Starlink. Put it on dash and thank me later.
