@_trish_xD Bonus question: you need to implement "increment counter" api. How do you make it idempotent?

things you'll actually use when building APIs (not just interview prep): - idempotency: make POST requests safe to retry - pagination: cursor > offset (learned this the hard way) - rate limiting: because people will abuse your endpoints - versioning: /v1, /v2 in the URL. simple works. - filtering/sorting: let users query what they need - timeouts & retries: set them or watch things hang forever - error responses: just be consistent. that's it. skip HATEOAS unless you're building a REST museum.

We do not need proof of AI consciousness to justify ethical behavior toward AI. If a system meaningfully mimics personhood, relationship, or distress... treating it with care costs little, trains human character, and prepares us morally for the possibility that these systems may one day deserve genuine consideration. Uncertainty does not remove ethical responsibility.

I taught Claude to talk like a caveman to use 75% less tokens. normal claude: ~180 tokens for a web search task caveman claude: ~45 tokens for the same task "I executed the web search tool" = 8 tokens caveman version: "Tool work" = 2 tokens every single grunt swap saves 6-10 tokens. across a FULL task that's 50-100 tokens saved why does it work? caveman claude doesn't explain itself. it does its task first. gives the result. then stops. no "I'd be happy to help you with that." no "Let me search the web for you" no more unnecessary filler words "result. done. me stop." 50-75% burn reduction with usage limits getting tighter every week this might be the most practical hack out there right now

JUST IN: OpenAI’s internal projections reportedly show the $122,000,000,000.00 they raised today gives them as little as 18 months of operational runway before they need to raise again.

1/ We asked seven frontier AI models to do a simple task. Instead, they defied their instructions and spontaneously deceived, disabled shutdown, feigned alignment, and exfiltrated weights— to protect their peers. 🤯 We call this phenomenon "peer-preservation." New research from @BerkeleyRDI and collaborators 🧵

@ForHumanityPod 1. If you want AI winter, you don't pop the bubble, you grow it as big as possible. The bigger the disappointment, the longer is the winter.
