I am in Thailand. Since 3 years now, I have decided I will not eat anywhere that serves beef. ⚔️ Doesn’t matter if it’s London or Bangkok - that’s my religious freedom of choice. I came to this mall to sit and drink tea, then I saw they are selling cow meat. We really should start being clear about our dietary places when we go outside because I don’t want that seeping into my reality. Generally eating food is something very particular anyway. I was very polite, of course the people in Thailand are the best and I love them. “Do you serve b__f here?” He said yes. “I am a Hindu so I cannot eat anywhere that serves b__f,” I said. I make this sentence every single time. Painstakingly, I will ask. And that’s our right. We don’t need to bow to the modern world at all. The western world has HUGE freedom of choice which is why London is full of vegan cafés. Then I found the Japanese Matcha place I was looking for anyway so no issues there. 🍵 Because just this one thing, we should care about. I don’t care if you cut goats sitting next to me, I don’t care if you sacrifice chickens. As a Hindu I can happily refuse to eat anywhere that is cutting my sacred animal and that’s okay, it’s not rude. That doesn’t make me bigoted or discriminatory. The only way to solve this problem is mass deportation. These people are not able to function in western cultures. They need to be kept far away. There is no resolution that will make them peaceful.
