@StormslayerDev I've always found it odd how people associate the "censorship" with the 3DS version, when those changes were made as far back as later N64 carts. EVERY rerelease of OoT (GC, Wii VC) had those changes, they were not made for the 3DS.

Almost every example of this is the polar opposite situation where the hyper casual players get extremely angry at you if you try to play something in a competitive or even just above average skill level. ESPECIALLY if it's a Nintendo game like Mario Kart, Smash, or Pokemon

@TigoODonnell I hope you understand that this applies to retro games, too. Replying to someone criticizing retro games with "skill issue" is no better than replying to someone criticizing modern games with "skill issue". Nothing is above criticism, not even the classics.

In Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018): railroad workers are actually working and they nail the track into the ground before moving onto the next nail until they finish. In Crimson Desert (2026): NPCs endlessly hit the same rocks without a purpose while clipping through them.

@spirithellion I prefer shipping characters based on their chemistry and dynamic with each other, their genders are irrelevant to me. Whether they're the same gender or different genders doesn't matter, it's how well they go together on a fundamental level.

The more I look at my childhood favorite games, and look at where the companies are now, I’ve realized that triple A games have never been good. A lot of our old favorites like Halo, Oblivion, Fallout New Vegas, Assassin’s Creed 2, Spyro, Sims, and so many others were developed by teams of 20 bros making some shit they’d want to play. It wasn’t until these companies went corporate, shareholders, bureaucratization, teams of over 300 that they started to fumble, lose sight of the vision. It feels like almost monthly we see some of the talented minds of our “golden age” leaving these corporations to peruse their own independent projects. 20 years, dedicated to something you created, and walking away. Then of course it always comes out later that there was some colossal miss management, miss treatment, broken promises and threats that inevitably become the tipping point for these minds. The minds that built the worlds we loved. The minds that built the foundations these companies stand on. I think gaming has always been at its best when it’s a small team of like minded individuals, building a game that they all would enjoy. Not as some unrepeatable art project or means to a quarterly revenue, but as something that’s just fun.
