Why does everything feel like theater? We have a Congress that won't pass something 83% people want. We have a judicial system that doesn’t hold criminals accountable. We have an education system that doesn’t educate. We have a non-profit system that profits from our tax dollars. We have a health care industry that profits from you staying sick. We have a financial industry that needs you to stay in debt. We have an insurance industry that fights every single claim. It just all feels so fake, so theatrical.

@TheAhmadOsman I'm a Claude user and I'm feeling like that too. I like using Opus for planning out a project, but when it comes to execution, it puts way too many barriers in the way that can be overcome by using more accessible services that are cheaper to run.

I stopped watching them in my late teens. I reached a point where I had to question why I was filling my mind with irrational fears, when I could fill it with things that were more life affirming. I have had to concede lately, as my new wife loves them. I still walk away though when I feel myself being setup and manipulated by the framing.

I have a confession to make:I've never watched a horror movie. It doesn't appeal to me at all; there's enough horror in the world to scare me with a film. Actually, I have a lot of friends who like them, and I can't understand why.
