"Satanic Panic" is a dismissive euphemism designed to discredit the very real victims of very real occult criminal groups (e.g the Sons of Sam, Manson Family, The Process, Michael Aquino and the Finders, etc). No, hard rock and DND aren't Satanic, but ritual rape and murder are.

Why care if people are being fooled into the faith of a conman, when Jesus specifically told us to bring clarity and the truth? When Jesus commands us to evangelize all the people into His Church? When Paul clearly said that a new gospel hence revealed by even an angel shall be called as the work of the devil? I wonder why I would care.

Because he was verifiable a big bigamist, he married himself to already married women, often by sending their husbands on far away missions. He had dozens of wives which was only allowed to him because of a revelation only he received, he took children as wives, and ultimately had several dozen women. He, like Muhammad, used supposed self-revelation to build a harem for himself, and gain excessive wealth. By Contrast, the founder(s) of the Apostolic Churches (e.g Catholics and the Orthodoxys) never married more than one woman, and preached against polygamy. Jesus Himself is quoted as saying that Marriage is between and makes two into one. He doesnt say three, or five, or the 40 which Smith took. That is plainly lust.

@NewBlockCath @JS_StrngstSldr @exmormons_speak Serious question: "conman" "lustful". Why would you have such strong opinions about him? Like, every church has founders... I don't think I have really strong negative opinions on any of them. Like, I don't spent a lot of time evangelizing how much I hate Martin Luther. Haha

@JS_StrngstSldr @kmbecker25 @exmormons_speak I mean, it wouldnt strike me as crazy for a lustful conman and cult leader to throw in a little joke at the rubes who believed him. After all, he was marrying their wives to himself, surely he must've thought they were Moroni

Most of The New Testament was written within the 1st Century actually. Youre probably confused about the year of compilation, when a council compiled all the separate texts into one volume, around 367. However, all of its books are dated between AD44 and AD 110. The Pharisees ceased as a cohesive group in the 70s CE, with the destruction of the 2nd Temple and their expulsion from the Holy Land. The Pharisees, no longer having a central seat of power and now living in Diaspora, broke into several Rabbinic Cliques, localized by their areas. But yes, the Witnesses of Christ quote Him very often and very plainly as speaking against the Pharisees, and in turn their Rabbinic descendants. The Apostles write very candidly against the Jews, saying Jesus could not even walk in Judea, staying in Galilee, because "The jews sought to kill Him." (John 7:1) This and several other texts clearly identify the Jews specifically as a separate group from Jesus and the Galileans. The Galileans themselves were Israelites, and followed the One God of Abraham. Notice that the author, writing around AD70-80 deliberately separates these two groups. The Jews hated the Christians, and the Christians actively considered themselves not to be among those who "Would call themselves jews but are not." (Revelation 2:9 3:9) Referring directly to the Rabbis/Pharisees. However there were Israelite sects who very much were not the Pharisees, who even supported Christ as the prophesied Messiah, specifically the Essenes. This group were very much the "true jews". They followed the Law of Moses and the Covenant, they worshipped the one God of Abraham, and they predate Jesus' incarnation. So again we have to ask, why are THESE Jews separated from the Pharisaic "jews"?

@NewBlockCath @kmbecker25 @exmormons_speak “The actual translation of the portion we now have as the Book of Mormon did not take place until between April 7 and June 11, 1829. Thereafter the plates were returned to the custody of Moroni. (Jos. Smith 2:27-65).”

@NewBlockCath @JS_StrngstSldr Small point of order though: You don't have original biblical texts. Not a single one. You have old fragments of copies of copies of copies.

@kmbecker25 @JS_StrngstSldr We have original biblical texts. Im not asking for you to show us your demon, in the same way I dont call forth God to prove himself. Im asking for a physical object your church claimed to have.

@NewBlockCath @JS_StrngstSldr The Lord is not in the business of presenting Himself for medical and scientific evaluations of His claims. He's not subjecting himself to the power and authority of specialists. It's this whole thing with the human experience... Faith, hope, charity etc.
