I can’t relate to a lot of things because everything seems to be all about aesthetics.

Black men have been berated and beaten over the head for the last 30-40 years about how we’re essentially the worst human beings on planet earth. We’re “dogs”, “ain’t shit”, “abandon our kids”, etc., etc. Now, with that in mind, many of us grow up trying to overcompensate with “niceness” & “kindness”, trying to be the “Good Black Man™️” and “change the narrative.” That does nothing but get those of us that actually are good, productive, smart, etc. taken advantage of, used, abused (physically, emotionally, financially), stolen from, manipulated, lied on, falsely accused, set up, and some more shit. Whether that be by our own mothers, wives, girlfriends, sisters, cousins, colleagues, etc. it happens all the time. Unless you luck up and all those people around you are solid and actually care about you as a human being, shit’ll take a toll on you. Most of the time, they literally see us as slaves to be at their disposal in whatever facet they need at the moment. This ain’t no “woe is me” “I’m a victim” shit. This is a wake up call to let you know you’re not crazy. Its time to drop the dead weight and step into the next level of who you’re supposed to be. This is for all my brothers, solid stand-up men that can relate. I know it’s a lot of y’all too. I see the conversations. I have the conversations. Long story short, don’t be afraid to be the bad guy. Be the villain in their bullshit stories if you need to. This doesn’t mean become all the negative stereotypes they already promote about us. It means putting yourself first and telling any and everyone that doesn’t align with your mission to fuck off. Your mission and your purpose is priority. Remove their access to you. Stop letting them gaslight you. Stop letting them lean on you for everything. Especially when you ain’t where you’re trying to be yet. All they’re doing is fucking your flow and trajectory up.
