It’s silly. Why do members only choose to literally interpret that verse? If one wants to literally interpret that verse, they have to keep going. Then you can only eat fruits and vegetables in season. In this case, we meat-lovers are just as justified in pointing a finger at someone eating an apple in the winter. And forget about eating oats, barely, or rye. Only wheat! Section 89 was never meant to be literally interpreted. I believe the essence of it is this: what are you addicted to and what are you doing to control those addictions?

My 2 year old is a sweet little chunk. Every Sunday, try as we may to explain the concept of communion, he bursts into tears at the altar, certain he is being intentionally targeted for exclusion by the Priest. Husband, in urgent whisper: “Max, it’s NOT a snack” (for the zillionth time) Max, in tears: “…but Daddy, I want to eat” The drama continues.

@LukeFHan @Snaggle97776422 Wrong. Jesus opened the veil. He is not the veil. Either way it’s supposed to be open. The Mormon church put it back up and required polygamy to enter it. But since they had to run from the law they changed it to requiring obedience to the Word of Wisdom and secret handshakes.

This is the Holy of Holies in the LDS temple. It’s restricted. I can’t stand this stuff.. Restricted access to God with a man that communes with God? Have LDS forgotten that Jesus Christ came, tore the veil.. - “we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus”- Heb 10:19 You guys don’t need a high priest to do that. Jesus is our a high Priest (Heb 7:16,26) it lists that he’s the perfect High Priest because he’s Holy, exalted above the heavens, separated from sinners, has an indestructible life.. so He’s always ready to intercede for us. But you guys have a man being a high priest when you can have Jesus? So man-centric and such an inversion of the beautiful gospel of Jesus.
