A German MP looked His Majesty Reza Shah II Pahlavi  in the eye and said: “Iranians are not ready for democracy!” Seriously?! Since when did Germany or Europe get to decide if we Iranians are “ready” for freedom? Democracy is not a gift they hand out when they feel like it. Für viele Iraner ist inzwischen offensichtlich, dass Sie dem islamischen Regime näherstehen als dem iranischen Volk und dessen Freiheitsbewegung. Wir Iraner werden das nicht vergessen. Und wenn der Iran eines Tages wieder frei ist und Deutschland aufgrund Ihrer sowie der politischen Fehlentscheidungen Ihrer Vorgänger und Nachfolger schwierige Zeiten erlebt, wird man sich ebenfalls daran erinnern, wer damals an der Seite der Unterdrücker stand und wer nicht.
