Sure I can. The war with the US and Japan had to be brought to an end. The US wasn’t obligated to accept any terms Japan wished to offer as it had been the aggressor and defeated party. If the options are a land invasion where millions on both sides die the bombings are a better choice. If the options are starving everyone out while US soldiers and airmen continue to die the bombing is a better choice. For the US leadership whatever made the human cost to US citizens lower is the only moral choice.

I'm amused by the people pretending to be shocked by the destruction of Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. What did you think was going to happen after October 7? That you'd lose your cookie privileges? This isn't a motherfucking game. You wanted a real war, you got one.

The nation state takes on its obligations to maintain the moral order rather than law of the jungle within its boundaries and to protect those under its care from external threats. In exchange citizens subordinate their inherent freedom of action in certain areas. My contract with the nation state imposes obligations on both within the domestic sphere. I agree to adhere to laws and place enforcement of said laws in the hands of the government. With external parties the nation state agrees to protect me the citizen from harm. It has no corresponding obligation to external parties. I did not consent to allow the state to decide to trade some citizens lives to preserve those of other nations citizens. The state is obligated to pursue behavior that maximizes my security and prosperity at all times. This may at times be achieved by common agreement with other nations. At other times it may not. But the state acting externally is obligated to pursue only the interest of its citizens. No contact between the governed would allow a state to trade its citizens interest for those of a foreign nation.

There’s a group of people in Israel that has been protesting against the government almost nonstop for more than three years. Are they a minority? Yes. But attacking *them* for not doing more is just dumb. (And implies that the critic would have done more. Maybe, but I doubt it.)

The opponents of this war are rooting *for* Americans. The war's fanatical Zionist perpetrators are destroying America: severely degrading our weapons stockpiles, expending money we don't have, wrecking our alliances, killing increasing numbers of our soldiers, raising prices, killing jobs. This war is damaging our country, both abroad and here at home, because the Zionist fanatics who started this war and are continuing this war love Israel and hate their fellow Americas. If they plan to eliminate 7 billion people from this planet and replace almost all of the human workers with AI and robots, and enslave the rest with a digital control grid in 15-minute cities, they'll then control over 90% of the valuable land and resources on this planet. Money will have no meaning at that stage. There will just be the rulers, and the ruled, no middle-class, no rich and poor, a few will have everything and the rest will be slaves who exist for their amusement. It'll be a sort of global neo-feudalism, not the type of capitalism that we're used to, where companies and people make money and move up the social ranks of the economy by selling goods and services. It's hard for most people to imagine, because there's never been anything like that totalitarian-dystopian tech hell that they want to create after depopulating most of the world. They basically want to become super-human cyborgs who rule over the remnants of this planet, as though they were the demon kings of hell.
