Bro, this is actually insane. In Chiba Prefecture, someone stole copper cables and brass valves from a drainage pump station. Because of that, water stopped flowing to the rice fields right after planting, and the paddies completely dried up and cracked. These are the rice fields that produce Japan’s staple food. Metal theft like this has been increasing a lot in recent years, and it’s no coincidence that it started happening more after the government began bringing in large numbers of foreign workers through programs like the Technical Intern Training Program and Specified Skilled Worker system. They steal valuable metals to sell for scrap, and the damage ends up hitting Japanese farmers and food production. We’re letting people into the country who end up destroying the infrastructure that feeds us, all while politicians keep saying we need more foreign labor because of “labor shortages.” This is what happens when you prioritize cheap foreign workers over protecting your own country’s agriculture and security.

I love having our two sons living close enough to us to just drop on by whenever they feel like it.
Unfortunately, there are downsides to this as well like wolf-whistling at my wife when I got home after work tonight because she was in our bedroom changing out of her work clothes into her comfy ones and then hollering "Hell ya baby, show me them ta-tas!" not knowing our youngest son had stopped by and was sitting on the back porch with his girlfriend and they could hear every bit of it.😬

Good Morning from the frozen Florida panhandle!
It was 54 when I came out this mmorning! What sorcery is this for June?? Made me question wether shorts were a good choice or not! For those getting a bit of a cold front, enjoy it while you can, you know the oven is set to pre-heat and the real Summer is rapidly approaching!
We get 4 day weeks for June and July, so this is my Friday.. and I am ready.. I do my physical work in 2 months than I do the other 10 months combined.. it's been 2 weeks and I am already feeling it, and I don't bounce back like I used to!
