My trail cameras have captured black bears in Big Cypress dozens of times. In my years of hiking South Florida's backcountry I've only ever seen one in the flesh. This curious male bear kept closing the distance until I had no choice but to stand my ground and chase him off.

Before people get too riled up, Dennis Sochor was convicted in 1987 of the 1982 first-degree murder and kidnapping of 18-year-old Patricia Gifford in Florida. He met her at a New Year’s Eve party in Fort Lauderdale, drove her to a secluded spot, choked her to death after she refused sex, and disposed of her body (never found). He confessed on tape; his brother corroborated. Scheduled for lethal injection tonight at Florida State Prison.

Jay Collins (Florida Lieutenant Governor and gubernatorial candidate, a combat veteran and adoptee himself) frequently discusses foster care and adoption positively in his public statements and campaign materials - eg., emphasizing support for kids in the system as part of pro-life and family policies - but no reports, complaints, or mentions of him skipping such an event appear in available sources.

And you and Pushaw subliminally attacked Jay on his free speech response. Everyone saw it, we’re not stupid. When I was a kid, my mom asked my dad to remove an old dilapidated dog house out of our backyard during a week when she would be taking care of my grandmother. When she came home, the dog house was still there, but her favorite Bougainvillea bush was chopped to the ground. It was huge & gorgeous. We used it as a backdrop for family photos. He did it because he was a narcissistic passive-aggressive asshole and knew it was important to her.
This is what Trump is doing - to America. Instead of putting the wall where we need it, he's destroying something of beauty where a wall isn't needed. Just to put his thumb in our eyes.
