A weaker, poor quality, or obstructed 4g antenna will perform worse. The OP mentioned two things. (1) slow speed "basically on dial up internet", (2) no connection "can't make a call". My response was directly to that as a whole when I say, "phone works fine" as in calls and SMS; and "data is super slow though" which paralleled the OP's experience. This is X I was trying to keep it brief. That said, another poster stated that it was likely congestion/saturation. And I think they're correct and that's more likely in many cases. The antenna is a major part of the equation though. The topic is pretty complex. You'll have carrier differences too. For example, T-Mobile may have access to Verizon towers but it's not going to be the same experience as a Verizon customer.

How come 3G used to be enough signal to do anything, and now if you're "only" on 4G LTE, you're basically on dial up internet and can't make a call.

@WallStreetApes I understand it's bad to cheat. However, the DMV is a public office. State law does not override constitutional freedoms. The DMV should place them out of view of the public areas where they cannot be recorded. This solves the problem without creating a violation of rights.

Tesla driver is sitting on his phone at a red light when a motorcycle cop notices. Instead of pulling him over right away, the officer takes off his body cam, records the driver using his phone, then swings around behind him and lights him up for the ticket. 😭 Worth it or should cops have bigger things to worry about?

@XenoPanther Of the things wrong with Windows, and there are plenty, memory management is not on the list. People pull up Task Manager and see 64% memory use, are only running a few programs, and wonder why. The statistics on the Performance tab only start to touch on its depth.

Not sure why people are complaining about Windows 11 using tons of RAM. I've not noticed my system slow down and when it hit 98/99%, Windows freed up some RAM that was no longer in use. Win11's RAM management is pretty solid

Just called a pest control company and got their prices: $129/month for Gold, $89/month for Silver, and $59/month for Bronze (package level was how often they sprayed) Asked them what chemical they used cause I had kids and pets. While on the call, I looked up the exact chemical and ordered a years supply of it for like $100. Told them I'd have to think about it and hung up. I'll spray it myself and save hundreds. Is that unethical? Or just plain smart?

Amazon cancelled the new Stargate show. The rumor is that the show writer, Martin Gero, would not budge on compromising lore or elements within the show for a "wider modern audience" as they did with Rings of Power for LoTR lore. Martin Gero wanted to create a show that maintained continuity in the story and lore of the old shows, including the mythology and tech, while respecting the 17 seasons of history. Amazon instead wanted something new for the "modern audience" that's more accessible, reimagined, with more modern casual sensibilities. Because the showrunners wanted to maintain integrity rather than turn Stargate into another "modern audience slop" like Rings of Power, Amazon leadership canceled it. The franchise heavyweight, like Joseph Mallozzi, was very excited for the fresh stories Gero worked on. Amazon says they are still open to Stargate, just not "this" version... yes they wanted to Rings of Powerify Stargate. We really can't hate these people enough.

The original Stargate wasn't pushing DEI. You've been suckered into believing what the left tells you DEI is. The original Stargate had female empowerment and it was inclusive of races. By and large, the people that rail against DEI are not against those things. DEI is forced diversity, equity (not equality), and inclusion. Forced and at the expense of others - usually men and particularly white men.
