@_kaushikb @mnwsth I have two clique pens. Very happy with those pens. Ranga pens are also good and their service is excellent.

@neeldhara @bireswar Oh, good to finally see another theoretical computer scientist who juggles! @bireswar We should meet and have a juggling showdown someday! I first came across juggling math from Ronald Graham's work (he juggled too), and was blown away. This would be an interesting talk.

.@bireswar suggested this puzzle for the TGIF puzzle meet up today. Both the visual and non-visual solutions are cute! 🤩 PS. We are still working through the specifics of the visual approach :)
James Tanton@jamestanton

The numbers 1,2,..,2n are split into two sets A & B, equal size. The numbers in A placed in increasing order: a1<a2<...<an; those in B, decreasing order: b1>b2>...>bn. Prove that the sum |a1-b1| + |a2-b2| +...+ |an-bn| is sure to be n^2. (I find the approach below just fabulous!)

Arthur Cayley introduced the theory of abstract groups in 1854. It seems that his definition does not allow integers under addition as a group!
