@davezerafa @BasedMikeLee Nonsense.... There is no valid "empathy play" and the voters already know this. That's why this is an 80/20 issue. Democrats will still vote against it anyway because it's not in their best interest. It's that simple.

@davezerafa @BasedMikeLee Hence an actual REAL ID requiring citizenship to be proven. But it doesn't matter, there's no way Democrats will vote for this regardless. The filibuster should have been shelved already and this should have been forced through.

I get that. But if you drop the accountability thing for just 2 seconds. If you create a program where it's guaranteed everybody gets their IDs and gets away to the polls. You pull the rug out from underneath the Democrats feet and the bill has to get past And you know only 1/10 of the estimated will actually need it or use it and it won't cost that much. I'm just being smart about it

@davezerafa @BasedMikeLee The systems are already in place. A pollster would simply mark that person in the state/local DB as having proven their citizenship and it would no longer be an issue going forward. The best solution would be to require citizenship for ALL REAL ID's and to just require that.

As an IT project manager how many projects did you run that were simple and I'm talking about systems at a relatively tiny compared to the one that would have to support this. How many of them finished on time and how many of them were you brought in the middle after they already started. Just being realistic

@davezerafa @BasedMikeLee In those five states you quite literally have to prove you're a citizen to get a Real ID. Beyond that, voters in any other state can bring a photo ID and a birth certificate. Simple.🤷 Marrige licence if your name has been changed from that of what is on your birth records.🤷

@davezerafa @BasedMikeLee This isn't complicated at all. In five states a Real ID is already is proof enough. In any other state a voter can simply bring a copy of their birth certificate and a picture ID. Again, it's on the voter.

And if you're so lazy that you can't take the time or make the effort to provide the proper documentation (documents you should already have as a functioning adult), that's a strong indicator you shouldn't be voting.
