Carwow just released a new video to its 11 million YouTube subscribers titled: "Why Tesla Full Self Drive is Pointless!" @carwowuk misleads its viewers into thinking Tesla’s Autopilot is FSD, even though FSD hasn’t been approved in the UK yet. Autopilot isn’t meant for city driving, yet they test of bunch of scenarios that Autopilot wasn't built to do in the first place....

@SawyerMerritt @carwowuk I always said - over & over - people & Tesla need to stop calling FSD “AutoPilot” & to stop using both terms synonymously. All it was doing was confusing people as to which each feature set was actually capable of or was meant to be used for.

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier. Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

For all of the NPC’s out there that just don’t get it, we need to show them in a Cybertruck how easily FSD takes that route. Regardless of how many successful drives through that same intersection in a model Y,S,X & 3, they just won’t believe. Also the test would need to show disengaging FSD just past the yellow 15mph reduced speed sign (allows the 4 seconds of travel to the concrete barrier she hit) to show that without brake or accelerator input, the Cybertruck with regenerative braking would slow enough before even getting to the intersection turn or very close to it, all while traveling the apparent 56mph est. prior to the FSD disengagement.

That's a great idea Keagan. Actually the best way to test is do this: 1. Go to the Tidwell park and ride on 59 Eastex Freeway. This is south of the Eastex Park and Ride by about 5 miles. You need to go south since the accident happened going northbound. 2. Set your destination for the Eastex park and ride, and make sure your navigation is set to go into the HOV. Or just make sure you get into the HOV lane once you start out. The HOV lane starts right at the Tidwell park and ride Let me know if you have any questions. You can just DM me.

Neat idea, but here is my observation.., it’s too busy and if you really want people to be able to read this from any real world driving safe distance (you’re only standing like 10-15’ away here) & it’s busy (blury too much going on screen) for people to maybe read it or get the message to understand 1. The point of it 2. Distracting trying to read it while driving. I by trade have installed sports arena digital display boards - rule of thumb or by example - dancing cheerleaders jumping around holding up signs saying “fire exit building now safely” is distracting and point missed - as compared to a basic black background with slowly scrolling red letters to get the point across. I think there is science behind this & how humans interpret emergency lights and messages. Not saying these are for emergency use just using that as example.

Cybertruck indeed has a manual lever directly beside or in front of the electric push to open button & window up/down buttons (depending on your perspective) I drive one every day. What you are talking about is a manual emergency release in the back seats. Photo has red arrow to show (elbow or forearm rest area on arm rest) which is the location of the front doors manual lever - the one everyone keeps pulling instead the auto door button more towards the fingertip area on the same arm rest (green arrow).

@Xapp_TV @MyQuietInterval @FoxNews Only true for other teslas, not cybertruck. Cybertruck has the emergency door handle behind the speaker panel. you have to remove the panel to get to it. I don't like it, but i still want the truck. IMO they should change this.

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

The crash happened Aug 18, 2025 on Houston's Eastex Freeway overpass. Case still pending. So no dashcam interface at that time that would display the info like recent dashcam updates do. However Tesla should have the telemetry data and should be able to prove whether she overrode or disengaged to cause the accident.

This is asinine at minimum & PA needs to reverse this fee back to EV investors in their state and instead charge a proportional tax like gas guzzlers have. Base an EV tax to replace gas at a mileage per year rate, we drive our Teslas way less than most other cars, let alone other EV owners & still got charged $250 per vehicle with way less than 6k miles / yr driven so far. What a rip off! Most vehicles on average are 12k+ miles driven per year with their gas tax $0.18 /gal equivalent is then way over charging EV for similar mileage as a flat fee in comparison when it comes to the efficiency of Tesla EV! Don’t even get me started with owning 2 of the safest ever rated vehicles (‘26 model Y Juniper & ‘24 Cybertruck, both on FSD for even better safety) & still paying out the ass for insurance, another rip off! An unapportioned tax is not constitutional & I still do not understand how PA ever let this happen in the first place!
Tim@RuffBuffet

EVs are already taxed. In PA, they now get taxed 3 times: 1. Road tax on tires 2. Alternative fuels Tax on public charging 3. Flat $250+/year fee. I now pay more state road taxes than gas cars pay at both the state and federal levels combined, and the roads continue to get worse, not better.

You do know right directly next to the electronic door button is the regular manual door release lever don’t you? Many times occupants in my Teslas don’t even realize to use the electronic door release button & instead use the manual one because it’s so apparent & obvious. The only difference is the electronic release also lowers the window glass a bit as Teslas have frameless door window & using the button drops the window to eliminate slamming the door after manually opening by it which doesn’t lower the glass otherwise, allowing possibility of the glass then pressuring against the seal harder than if it was electronically released & chance of glass or door seal damage. Apparently you don’t know or understand that this is fact & most people think it’s only 100% automatic with no manual override. Aside from that point, many accidents across multiple car manufacturers have doors jammed when in certain accidents, hence the jaws of life most rescue workers utilize as a rescue tool.

The cyber truck lost me when the drunk man crashed his truck and became trapped inside because the electrical system lost power, preventing the door from opening and literally trapping him inside. The ion batteries caught fire - which to my understanding is a fire nigh impossible to put out - and burned him alive inside.

@FoxNews Why did you crop the telemetry meta-data part, rendered on the video? Then there would not be anyone speculating over what mode the car was in. It could be sorted out by just reading it on screen.
