So here is an inspiring, heartwarming story of rising against the odds to bring back positivity: Manoj Kumar Rajak was a regular govt job aspirant, so poor that he was struggling to repay just an ₹85,000 education loan. But Rajak didn’t give up. He kept trying and trying, finally cracked the code, became an electrical engineer in the Bihar govt, and thus began his journey of jan-seva. By the time Bihar’s Economic Offences Wing caught him yesterday, he had amassed more than ₹100 crore in property, with a modest salary of ₹12 lakh a year. He built properties across Bihar, Bengal, and Nepal, land, houses, warehouses, even a tea garden, mostly routed through benami holdings in family members’ names, like a petrol pump for his wife and a gas agency for his brother, along with real estate investments. Despite being married, he overcame those restrictions and even managed to make a Nepali girlfriend, for whom he built a luxurious bungalow in Nepal and made other investments. Manoj’s life is a shining example that with relentless dedication, hard work, and bold vision, no dream or goal is too big.

This difference must end. You can’t expect unity and brotherhood in a religion if the rich and powerful receive pampered treatment at temples while ordinary devotees are treated like an inconvenience. I understand that the sheer number of devotees makes it difficult to give everyone ample time, but things can still be managed with dignity, through better crowd management, token or time-slot systems, clearly marked queues, and strict enforcement of the same rules for everyone. Whatever is decided for the common people, the same rules should apply to the rich and powerful as well.

We had business class ticket from Bengaluru on the 9.55am flight. Iqbal Mohammad Sheikh married a Hindu Rupali Chandanshive after they fell in love three years ago. The couple also have a two-year-old son from the marriage. Iqbal had come to meet Rupali on September 27, 2022, to persuade her to come back as she had already demanded a divorce due to the ongoing dispute. First he tried to request her, but when she refused, the infuriated man dragged her to a dark corner of the street in Tilak Vihar area, Mumbai and launched a knife attack on her. Paid 2x for their official AMC....peace of mind, right?Then the story begins… Visited the same center from where I bought AMC → “Sir, raise complaint online.” Raised it online → got assigned a different center. That center → “Sir, AMC wala center will handle this.” Back to square one. 3 touchpoints. 0 accountability. If this is the experience after paying a premium, what’s the point?Big brand, but no clear SOP. @DaikinIndia please fix this. Customers shouldn’t be doing ping-pong for basic service.

Today I saw a vegetable vendor using stones in a plastic bag to measure 250g, 500g, and 1kg instead of proper weights. When I spoke to him, I realized how easy our lives really are. Me: Why are you using stones to measure weight? Vendor: The municipality people took my weights because I was standing on the road. They asked me to pay ₹300. And if they take away my cart, then ₹3000. Me: Don’t you have a proper space to sell? Why do you stand illegally? Vendor: They say there is no space. All the markets are already full. They are telling us to do other work or work in a municipality job. Me: Then it is good if they give you a job in the municipality. What’s the issue? Vendor: They say the salary will be ₹10,000-₹12,000 for cleaning work. I have a wife and a small daughter. How can we live on ₹12,000? I was just speechless and had nothing to respond. I took this photo with his permission. No one really pays attention to the real struggles of people like him. These are people who cannot afford a shop and rent, so they sell vegetables on carts just to survive.
