@AdamBartas Ah got it, tripped up on the “duplicate page” part. Just so I know for our roadmap, are you hoping to mostly explore UX variations of an existing design using components, or generate net-new components / design concepts?

Im working only within Figma. So only testing adjusting existing designs, remaking them in different styles, adding components, etc. custom fonts did sort of work for me but I had to change something in the text area (align for example) to see the changes in other properties that were made through MCP

Spent 2 hours playing around with this today It's not great - Limited context (Claude couldn't even duplicate a short page) - Changes to fonts don't apply until you adjust some property on them manualy - Not able to copy components right, looses context, all images in components go to default - Very bad frame awareness, things clip over edges of the frame regularly - Awful at adjusting existing designs, things just don't look good And everything just takes so long... Scaling down short page from desktop to mobile took ~15min with basically no changes being done to the design even tho Claude got provided with pretty precise instructions I'll have to test this some more, there are likely use-cases where it's gonna be solid but first impressions are not good

I've always dreamed of a multi-modal canvas, and when i was at figma that meant code + direct manipulation, and now it means agents + code + direct manipulation I might cry

@mg @zoink looked into this a bit. they're not clickable because we have no pages at those breadcrumbs -- they're just organizationally representative of the left sidebar. exploring removing to make it more obvious!

@zoink Yo heads up…was digging through the docs for this and right now the breadcrumbs in each doc aren't clickable. Makes navigation a little less easy. Awesome MCP stuff though!

@chasingaround_ @figma Used Claude to read my semantic tokens and auto-generate the documentation table: names, descriptions, color mapping, all of it. This is the kind of work I kept pushing to the bottom of the list. Took minutes.

@NatGreen_ @hsuwenyen @figma this uses our Plugin API and can take actions in Figma, claude to canvas is more of a "translation" — replicating screens from your codebase into the canvas. skills are also helpful here so it gets better alongside you!

@chasingaround_ @hsuwenyen @figma Is this the same as what they were promoting a couple weeks back with Claude-to-canvas then? Or it’s slightly different because “Skills”?

@figma announced code to design via MCP and skills. And as expected it sucks ! 1️⃣ With full seat pro plan I have 200 calls/day 2️⃣ See the test I did recently. It is not even close.

@chasingaround_ @figma Thanks Chase ! Truly appreciate it ! Figma is already behind the race unexpectedly. Rate limiting makes no sense. You wish people use it so hard and you have to rate limit it. Not from day 1. Also results are not promising (yet?) and I don't think I can hit the rate limit.
