Not much else will have changed bc it's standard tech *everyone* uses.

They were definitely trying to compete in the space. Tumblr was going to be part of a media strategy it seems.

Now knowing that Yahoo was also thinking about buying a video service makes so much more sense why they pushed us to do dumb video shit.
However the best “yahoo doesn’t understand” moment is when an executive they installed wanted to make Tumblr “the next PDF.”
