Most founders I know sold unwanted stuff as kids, hacked forbidden things, or found sneaky workarounds It wasn’t training, it was just who they were. The company came later. The instinct was always there What did you do at 12 you’d never admit now?

Spotify co-CEO @GustavS says the biggest misconception about Spotify is that it pays artists less than other streaming companies. "[Spotify] paid out over $70B to the music industry, $11B of those just last year. That's more than anyone has paid anyone ever in the music industry."

Keyboards are so 1983. You only need one key—Monokey, the limited edition device that turns your voice into text in Monologue. We're giving away 10, along with a free annual subscription to Monologue.

Not showing fucking cookie banners, for example. You can bake it into the browser and set that preference once. Or, hey, maybe realising that this whole law is just an engine that produces bureaucracy but doesn't actually benefit anyone who isn't Very German and "wants to see my data" and that it doesn't solve any real issues for anyone at all and go back to the drawing board? I said it before: if you come up with a law that says "everyone must wear seatbelts in the car" but many many years later you still have people choking on their seatbelts or putting them on wrong or car manufacturers giving every seat five seatbelts — then the law is wrong. "A system is what a system does" and you can't say "the law is correct, but it's just that 90% of people misinterpret it". The fact that there's people actually believing that it has an effect and that their data is meaningfully (!) protected in some way after the introduction of these fucking laws — it makes me depressed and I mean that in the most literal sense of the word.

@thorstenball I wonder, which alternative would you propose?

Three things: 1) Quantity of high quality and fast growing startups. Quality is amazing and arguably better, but quantity is much lower. 2) Less isolated. A culture of more isolated vs collaborative startups. We’re bad at integration overall. 3) Legal: Public records and subpar ESOP structure

I'm seriously considering moving to 🇺🇸 NYC? In a heartbeat, but not ideal for work. SF? Great for work, but *feels* less great for family. Which areas would be?

Is it possible to buy a printer for home use that is not on a terrible "pay X per month for 1-50 pages per month" business models?

@mattpocockuk I have been experimenting with using JSX to generate prompts and must say I like it a lot.
