@PixelJanitor @avstorm I’m pretty much the last one left on the creative from the Tony era of GitHub. He set the bar very high for what it means to care about the details

5.5 fast mode with low reasoning is meeting all the needs. Consistently happy with the results of this setup.

Multiple agents running on multiple machines, River running in Slack, and me in the IDE hand polishing markup and interaction delights on each. These past couple weeks at Shopify have been on whole new level of where we're headed. Especially for the Shopify Design Team.

Really excited to share that I'm joining @Lovable with @jamesm! We'll be reimagining lovable[dot]dev from the ground up: how branding lives on the web, how a site can be a real growth engine, how every pixel can carry a point of view

@xyzfennell Just to be clear, 5.5 low isn’t going to solve any of your front end woes, it’s just going to write the code you need to fix manually a lot faster 😉

@PixelJanitor for sure, this morning I was running opus 4.7 and 5.5 side by side on the same frontend task, same prompts, opus was picking up a lot more details, but still incredibly tedious to push the last 10% will be trying low + fast 5.5 asap🫡

If there is an opportunity for infinite canvas, Jaytel and Marvin will sniff it out. Check this out:

For the past 3 years, @MSchwaibold and I have been researching and collecting "Tiny UI". It's not about "good" or "bad" design— just unique, sometimes wild clusters of dense information. We gave it a proper home: tinyui.org

Dude there is no model great at front end without an unreasonable amount of hand-holding either through skills or heavy prompting. Low reasoning has prevented it from second guessing itself as much, and just going with its initial idea of direction. It’s drastically improved the over-engineering medium and high often do too. On fast mode, low is a noticeably faster. Medium and high feel only marginally faster.

@PixelJanitor I feel like it struggles with frontend more than it should. for complex tasks though, it feels like magic been on medium reasoning, what differences do you notice on low?
