It’s a very unpopular opinion in Ireland to say that Enoch Burke’s case is connected to the compelled use of pronouns. His imprisonment is absolutely because he violated a court order but the whole thing began with pronouns!! Can we acknowledge this?

I’m going to get a lot of flak for this.c but I don’t care. This Enoch Burke stuff is bullcrap. I’m as anti-genderism as it gets, but there has been a deliberate effort by Burke and his supporters to present events in a dishonest light. First of all, Burke is not in jail for refusing to use they/them pronouns; he’s there because he refuses to obey the no trespassing order he’s been given. Every time they let this guy out of jail, he goes right back to the school, and I’m sorry, but that’s not the same thing as being a real prisoner of conscience. Furthermore, his wife and mother were not arrested for visiting him; they were arrested on a warrant for contempt stemming from their disruptive behavior in the courtroom last month. The jail is just where the police caught up to them after they skipped their court dates. Mr. Burke was indeed fired over an issue of conscience, but his behavior since has been inappropriate, dishonest, antagonistic, and on numerous instances, a direct violation of a court order to stay away from the school he was fired from. He has frightened children and staff, and seems incapable of understanding that he no longer works there. His presence is a deliberate disruption and in today’s world, threatening. I really don’t appreciate the dishonesty in the way Burke has presented his side of events. This is the kind of behavior one would expect from TRAs, and it makes us look bad when we support him. Mr. Burke long ago crossed the line of what is appropriate when it comes to his behavior, and until he can accept that he has lost his job and move on, jail is probably the best place for him.

@1cor127 No way does anyone, especially if you're white, get arrested simply for singing on your porch, no matter who calls the cops. Either none of this ever happend, or you're lying about the details. You claim to be a Christian, do you know that lying is a sin?

2 weeks ago, my husband was arrested for singing “God Bless the USA” on our front porch because our Muslim neighbors called the cops on him since they were within earshot and were “threatened” by his singing. He was handcuffed and taken jail. Why? Because they can. And because they know that they can cry “Islamophobia”, lie, and get away with it! They threaten to kill him, harass us by calling the cops (4 times in several months) for things like singing songs about America on our property, yet he gets arrested! He has served in the Navy, has a Criminal Justice degree, and is former law enforcement. He loves God and America, and he loves serving both. He was released on bond, and scheduled for a court date tomorrow, on Good Friday. We have been praying fervently and trusting God to vindicate him, because He knows the truth. Praise the Lord, his lawyer told him today that the prosecutor has not filed any charges. He said we can go get paperwork to give them to get our bail money back. No criminal charges!!! That’s God being our vindicator 🙌

I’m British and yes - absolutely. I hope Americans know that EVERYTHING that’s happened between our countries recently isn’t down to the British people. Starmer got elected with only 9.7 million votes in a country with almost 48.2 million registered voters. Only 28 million turned out to vote, meaning the majority who voted didn’t vote for this clown or his policies. He only won because the right wing vote was split between Reform UK and the Conservative Party. It’s the most hated government we’ve had in recent memory, doing everything in their power to fuck over the British people & ruin our relationships / standing on the world stage - doing all of this to attempt to appeal to his Islamic voters - who have all abandoned him anyway in favour of the Green Party because the Green Party are offering complete open borders (which is the only policy they currently care about). The sooner we get Reform UK in Govt the better and we can actually start moving back to being a normal bloody country. And if Reform UK don’t do as they promise & let us down, we’ll just vote Restore and get Rupert Lowe in who will go even harder than even Donald Trump on mass immigration / illegal immigration & anyone trying to screw this country over.
