SHOW, DON’T TELL! Fellow #ENS users, we need to have a conversation about what we do with our names. I think we need to identify the most technically adept among us, the developers, etc, and teach each other how to grow our names, build sites and utility on them. My ENS timeline is now mostly people confused, concerned or considering calling time on the community. If we can’t sell or trade our names now, then maybe spend some time dressing them up so window shoppers are drawn to them? And more likely to invest if they practically see what can be done with them? And before anyone says “that’s not new or moving things along” I say honestly, our vehicle has stalled or has broken down and we may need to help jumpstart it so it reaches its ‘destinations’ of the .ens or AI Agents or new set of adopters (whichever you choose).

Does @ensdomains (ENS Labs) have an aggressive plan to bring value to the .eth TLD? Genuinely do not know the answer to this I don't think its spoken about in such a direct way If the answer is "further integrations", i'd consider that a passive strategy / maintenance

A permissionless name that lasts forever is clearly valuable. But you have to make it actually useful in practice, which ENS hasn't done yet.

Is ENS dead? 1. Nobody uses it for apps. Bad UX in Brave. Looks like Opera removed support. vitalik.eth is the only working page I can find. Other core .eth researcher pages & even ens.eth are broken 😬 2. Nobody uses it for payments, either. What's the plan?

Believers will say that people will always need a 'human readable' name for their 'super complex' wallet address Cell phone numbers have never been simplified tho, the same goes for bank accounts. Address books. But on other hand email and websites do have simplified identifiers

Farcaster moves away from decentralized social, says it doesnt work. What does this mean for ENS? .eth has been going thru it too. The novelty has worn off, ppl left, leaving the remainers thinking what is the use for a .eth? ENS ppl always quiet, never speak on .eth but I will

an open note to the @ensdomains community ENS has always been an important part of the ethereum ecosystem the loss of @ensvision was sad for those enthusiastic for permissionless secondary domain sales onchain — they did great work to make it more accessible & discoverable vertical-specific marketplace features are something that we've long considered, but are not a primary focus at OpenSea today that said, we've heard from many that this is an area that would be valuable & that you care about deeply consider this an invite to share thoughtful takes on how OpenSea could be a better place to explore, discover & trade ENS names in the future 🙏 ⛵️

If the global financial system runs on ETH rails, it would reason that ENS names are hugely underpriced right now.

There is a very very small window to buy digital art from established and newly established respected artists at reasonable prices. A very small window ... consider this a warning.
