My boyfriend and I are planning to buy a house together after dating for 3 years.
He earns significantly more than I do, so he’d be contributing about 70% of the down payment. Because of that, he wants the house to be only in his name.
He says it’s just “fair” based on the numbers, but we’d both be living there, splitting bills, and building a life together.
I’ve been watching a lot of relationship content about equity vs equality, and it made me realize things don’t always have to be 50/50 but this feels like I’d have no security at all.
He said if we ever broke up, he’d “do the right thing,” but that doesn’t really reassure me.
My friends say don’t move in unless my name is on it. His friends apparently think I’m being entitled.
Now I feel stuck between trusting him and protecting myself.
Is this a red flag I’m trying too hard to rationalize?

@DiaryofaSickGrl Assessed tooth
Dislocated knee
Bowel obstruction
Don’t tell me childbirth- I had 2 uneducated births and the discomfort was no comparison to the agony of the 3 events I listed.

@0nlyHalfEvil @Midwestwife90 @MtGardenMama Also, I’m not really here to convince you of anything. You and your opinion are of zero consequence to me.
English

@0nlyHalfEvil @Midwestwife90 @MtGardenMama You’re really missing the point. Withholding information that would create bias and distract a doctor from exploring the best diagnosis and treatment is self preservation; it’s good strategy. Stitches, broken bones, appendicitis have zero to do with vaccine status
English

@0nlyHalfEvil @Midwestwife90 @MtGardenMama Patient’s Bill of Rights as well as the AMA Code of Ethics. Patients have a recognized right to refuse medical treatment without facing discrimination or abandonment by their healthcare provider.
English

@0nlyHalfEvil @Midwestwife90 @MtGardenMama Experiencing discrimation is not a natural consequence of declining vaccination. A consequence of vaccination would be experiencing severe complications from a vaccine targeted infection. Medical discrimination is unethical as outlined in the ⬇️
English

@abbythelibb_ @extra_crispie @MtGardenMama So is not vaccinating your kids though, she’s clearly fine with obviously terrible ideas.
English

@0nlyHalfEvil @Midwestwife90 @MtGardenMama Its strategy. I’m not trying to get a health provider to trust me. I’m there to get unbiased, objective and non discriminatory medical care and of you don’t believe that doctors hold biases- conscious or subconscious then you don’t know much about the medical establishment.
English

@extra_crispie @Midwestwife90 @MtGardenMama I ommitted no such thing.
Doctors must know as much as possible about a patient, which includes vaccination status, for treatment.
When you refuse to tell your doctor vital information, YOU cant be trusted because you know it gets you into trouble for fucking up.
English

@chowell2000 @MtGardenMama @DetroitXmr @RachelK2021 Chris nobody here cares about what you’re trying to say AT ALL.
English

@MtGardenMama @DetroitXmr @RachelK2021 @extra_crispie Your seven kids doesn’t prove anything about vaccines, surely even you don’t think that’s how science and medicine work.
English

@0nlyHalfEvil @Midwestwife90 @MtGardenMama You omitted key context: doctors can’t be trusted to provide objective and unbiased care to a patient who admits to refusing vaccines.
English

@extra_crispie @Midwestwife90 @MtGardenMama Which is it now?
"Doctors cant be trusted"
or
"I want the highest quality, most thorough and objective care during an emergency"
Cant have both.
English

@abbythelibb_ @MtGardenMama No, it’s not. At ER / urgent care you do not have a chance to vet the provider assigned to you.
Admitting that your child is unvaccinated to a person who likely will treat you with bias- conscious bias or not, is very unwise.
English

@extra_crispie @MtGardenMama Lying about medical history to your doctor is a terrible idea. Don't see a doctor you can't trust.
English

@extra_crispie @RachelK2021 @DetroitXmr @MtGardenMama She blocked me.
Which is fine—-more peace for me.🙂
English

@Midwestwife90 @MtGardenMama That’s fortunate and likely fairly common however the risk is simply not worth it to me. I want the highest quality, most thorough and objective care during an emergency.
English

@extra_crispie @MtGardenMama They literally do not.
I have had some judgey doctors and even they gave amazing care, compassion, and sound advice for all my vaccine free kids.
English

@Calluna1007 @DetroitXmr @extra_crispie @MtGardenMama Did I say that directly to you? No. So STFU. I’m done
English

@RachelK2021 @MtGardenMama Try to think bigger on this issue. They can and have done this to new parents in the hospital and due to their bias can invent any reason to suspect neglect since vaccines are practically their religion.
English

@extra_crispie @MtGardenMama They don’t call CPS for not vaccinated your kids. Stop with the fearmongering.
English

@thebbvegan Once my daughter asked me, as we passed a cow pasture, if our burgers were cows. I broke the news gently knowing how much she adores them. She looked out the window wistfully and in barely above a whisper said to me “mom, I just wanna taste all different kinds of animals”.
English

Do you think if children were told that they were eating a baby cow or a baby pig for dinner, that they would be happy about it and continue eating it as if nothing happened?
No. I can guarantee you that if kids knew where their food comes from, they would be upset that they’re eating a dead animal.
