Challenging behaviour is neither accurate nor respectful. Challenging is simply a term to discriminate, devalue & to see some humans as 'better'-often disabled humans as 'less'. Respectful words, help us all collaborate, rather than condemn; working on mutual 'being' & wellbeing

A unique flavor of #AutisticJoy: I was presenting on #neurodiversity today to a university when an unexpected stimuli triggered my speech to slow to a stop. My co-presenters (an ADHD woman & father of an autistic son) immediately started presenting my slides to accommodate me.

@ItsEmilyKaty Supposed to have had a relaxing weekend, but no. Woke up to a barrage of comments to my response to this on IG, which has pretty much ruined my week ahead 🤦🏻‍♀️. This is exhausting!

It feels overwhelming as an ?advocate/activist (I don’t know what to call myself) to constantly see so many news articles, stories and discussions that fuel anger or desire for change and that you want to engage with or comment on. It’s exhausting. 1/3 🧵
