As OTPs, students, and allied health professionals we have a moral, ethical, and professional obligation to stand witness to the occupational injustices that are occurring in Gaza. This toolkit is filled with ACTIONABLE steps to support Palestine: tinyurl.com/HCWToolkit

We asked people around the world to rate the morality and ethics of others in their country. The U.S. is the only place we surveyed where more adults describe the morality and ethics of others living in the country as bad than good. See our full morality report here: pewresearch.org/religion/2026/…

#Iran| Placing educational facilities within the scope of hostilities, whether by directly targeting them or exposing them to the risk of attack, reflects a serious erosion of respect for the rules protecting civilians euromedmonitor.org/a/6992

Help our OT colleagues in Lebanon raise direct aid as many have been displaced and lost their homes and places of work. We are planning weekly virtual workshops in addition to asking people to consider donating and sharing with people that care. paypal.com/donate?campaig…

Since Saturday, 28 February, under cover of the ongoing Israeli-American attack on Iran, Israel has killed ten people in the Gaza Strip. As the assault began, Israel sealed all crossings into Gaza, halting all entry of food, medical supplies, and humanitarian workers. On Tuesday, Israel reopened only one crossing, Kerem Shalom. Only 16 trucks entered that day, 14 carrying humanitarian aid and two with goods for local markets. Israel continues to enforce the humanitarian crisis: Since the so-called ceasefire was declared, it has kept most crossings closed while imposing draconian restrictions on the transfer of food, as well as equipment and personnel essential for residents’ survival. About 22,000 wounded and sick people in Gaza still need urgent medical evacuation. According to the World Food Programme, at least 1.6 million people, 77% of Gaza’s population, are suffering from acute food insecurity, including more than 100,000 children and 37,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women who are expected to face acute malnutrition by next month. The overwhelming majority of Gaza’s two million residents remain displaced, living for over two years now in unbearable conditions, in tents or damaged buildings. Since 10 October 2025, when the so-called ceasefire was announced, the Israeli army have killed 631 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The international community is enabling Israel’s policies and the ongoing genocide. The genocide in Gaza is not over.

As we have earlier warned, the military escalation in the Middle East is putting the lives of millions of children in the region at risk. Scores of children have been reported killed and injured in multiple countries. Targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, including schools and hospitals, is a violation of international law. Children and the vital services they rely on must be protected.

In southern #Iran, a girls’ school became a place of unimaginable grief after at least 165 students were killed and dozens more injured in a #US-Israeli strike. Now they rest with their dreams in a mass grave. Schools are meant to nurture hope, not bear the scars of war. Targeting educational facilities violates the protections meant to shield civilians and robs children of their fundamental rights to life, learning, and security.

@AmerMedicalAssn @RCPhysicians Dr. Razan Abu Lebda is one of over 1,722 healthcare workers and 100,000 Palestinians in Gaza killed by Israel since October 7, 2023. HCWs are still being targeted by Israel!

In loving memory of Dr. Razan Abu Lebda, an Emergency Physician in Gaza. We will not forget Dr. Abu Lebda and will continue to call for Israel to stop the slaughter and end the occupation so that no more lives are stolen and humanitarian aid can be offered.

What happened to this man is actually SO much worse than the headline lets on: Nurul Shah Alam has actually been detained in the local jail for the last year. A year ago almost to date, he’d been trying to get somewhere on foot with makeshift walking stick (a curtain rod he purchased), became disoriented, and ended up at someone’s doorstep as they were letting their dog out. The police were called. Nurul could not understand what the police were asking him. He isn’t fluent in English and they wanted him to drop his curtain rod. He was beaten, arrested, charged with assault, possession of a weapon, + trespassing and has been sitting in custody as they make sense of his arrest for the last year. He finally reached a plea deal that saw his release without ICE detention. Instead of being released directly from the facility as planned by the courts — facility staff noticed he still had an immigration hold listed under his name and contacted Border Patrol to pick him up instead. They told him it was this or being released to ICE. These BP agents then picked Nurul up, drove him across town, dropped him off at a local coffee shop, and left. They thought he seemed fine and could get to wherever he was going from there. It was around 8PM at night, they didn’t alert his family, and again — he is almost completely blind. His family then spent ALL weekend looking for him and even filed a missing person’s report directly with the police. The police checked their records and, sure enough, mistakenly assumed he must be being held by ICE — they immediately closed the case, same day. He was found dead 3 days later after suffering what seemed to be a medical emergency lost somewhere in a neighborhood.

US immigration officials picked up a blind Rohingya refugee last week in Buffalo, NY. Then, realizing they had no basis to deport him, they released him five miles from his home. He needed a walking stick and died trying to make his way back to his house: investigativepost.org/2026/02/25/bli…

Since the ceasefire agreement on 10 October 2025, Gaza has been effectively divided by a dangerous, ever expanding, and ambiguous “yellow line”, which is controlled by the Israeli forces. One side of the line, making up 58% of the Strip, is under Israeli military control — pushing people into the remaining 42% of the territory. The line is not clearly marked and is gradually shifting to the west. Our teams have treated several patients with violent injuries related to the “yellow line”. Palestinians have been regularly shot by the Israeli forces while collecting water or firewood, or approaching their homes, near the line.

Last night (Tuesday), 24 February, at around 8:00 P.M about 20 Israeli settlers raided the village of Khirbet Susiya, in the South Hebron Hills. They attacked homes and cars with stones, and set fire to three tents, a pre-fab, chicken coops and cars at several spots throughout the village. About 300 people live in the village, half of them minors. They are subjected to daily violence by settlers and the military, with the backing of all Israeli state authorities. Footage also shows a group of settlers trying to damage cameras to prevent documentation of the attack. None of the assailants were detained. Yesterday’s attack on Khirbet Susiya is part of Israel’s broader onslaught against Palestinians, who remain defenseless in the face of unchecked violence by militias and the Israeli military. Israel’s ethnic cleansing in the West Bank has so far displaced more than 4,000 Palestinians from their homes, with 51 communities expelled in their entirety and 14 communities in part. The daily violence towards Palestinians in the West Bank continues as Israel maintains a system of military occupation and systemic impunity for settler violence, while the international community stands by.
