Also the show had trans characters in the 80s, as Eleanor Blake relationship with Chris Cwej who was a trans woman who lived in the 40s

It didn't get any better as later on they got asked about exceptions (on bringing children into mens or women's toilets/ changing rooms) and who decides where the exceptions end and where in law does it allow for those exceptions and they couldn't provide it
