Some penalties being "won" in the Prem are ludicrous - this one for Bournemouth - it was a clear dive, should have been a card for simulation! Awarded on the pitch by soft Rob Jones and cleared by even softer Peter Bankes on VAR! Madness. You can't get a goal for stuff like this!

@DaveLUFCWatkins Stach’s goal settled is well and hilarious Burnley tried they didn’t have the ability to really hurt us. Just how bad Brammell was should be a concern for the league. Totally incompetent

Here you go #lufc fans, my few words on a vital three points tonight against Burnley. Read my summary on the link below. What did you make of it? My word those last twenty minutes were tense... who thought we'd mess it up? Surely we're safe now though? davidwatkinslufc.com/burnley-home-m…

@GrahamSmyth @LeeSobotYEP If that performance from brammal doesnt convince the authorities he is nowhere near this level then they’re more stupid than I thought they were. He was absolutely terrible

Given there was wall to wall coverage of Keir Starmer’s glasses, presumably there will be a robust focus on Nigel Farage having received a £5 million personal donation?

@JohnSlinger @darrenpjones It takes a lot for any Labour mp to think that anything you do is done with integrity. The most corrupt government we have ever seen

I was glad to be in the chamber to cheer on @darrenpjones as he took on the opposition parties with skill, passion, and integrity. While they play petty, opportunistic political games, we get on with delivering positive change for the British people. x.com/darrenpjones/s…

We are investing in new rail, roads, and nuclear reactors.
New scanners for our hospitals and free breakfast clubs for our children. We’re not going to let the Conservatives - or their friends in Reform - tear that down.

@MikeTappTweets Your government, your leader thinks democracy is either cancelling elections or forcing people to support him. It’s becoming more like North Korea than our great country which you are slowly destroying

@Imogenlemon02 Denying the rape gang survivors an inquiry until forced to do so, promoting supporters of paedophiles to be ambassadors or into the House of Lords. Seems like she has a very real point

@AndyMcDonaldMP It says much about your leader that he has to force you all to vote for him to allow him to claim legitimacy. Your party is a stain on democracy and the electorate will reward you at the ballot box

Andy McDonald MP for Middlesbrough & Thornaby East
The appointment of Peter Mandelson was wholly and utterly unsuitable. Nonetheless, the PM has set out a detailed chronology, and made it clear he has not misled this House. It would be the right thing to do to embrace this Privilege process.

@RhonddaBryant And your “great leader” is so confident of his position he has to whip his MPs to force them to support. You might be comfortable with this but the electorate won’t be

Badenoch was economical with the truth earlier in her chaotic ‘can I make any mud stick’ speech in the House. She seemed to forget that she abstained not on the motion to refer Johnson to the privileges committee (when there was no vote as the case was obvious)

Tory vote on referring Keir Starmer to the Privilege’s Committee is a political stunt but to blow it out of the water Keir Starmer should show confidence & refer himself, demonstrating there is nothing to hide. Whipping a vote against will produce smears we’re backing a cover up.

@RhonddaBryant It speaks volumes that Starmer feels he has to whip his MPs to win the vote. Abusing process to get the result he needs. You may think this is acceptable but voters will likely see it differently

Nonsense. Governments of all persuasions have often whipped business like this. It’s entirely up to the government to decide. And as a point of fact, there was no vote on referring Boris Johnson as it was decided without division and Johnson didn’t even turn up to defend himself.
Beth Rigby@BethRigby

On back of @Steven_Swinford news that Speaker will allow vote, a senior Labour figure messages to point out it was a free vote when Boris Johnson referred & this ‘Commons business so should not be whipped’ Says whipping MPs to vote to avoid security is problematic…

We don’t need an investigation to questions that have already been answered and proven to be correct. The Tories have already admitted that the purpose of the vote is mischief making before the local elections.. Misuse of parliamentary process? Can we have an investigation?
