I’m a big fan of SpotHero, I use it weekly. A rare gem for downtown parking. Congrats to the team.

Uber is acquiring @SpotHero! 🅿️🚗 We built @Uber around enabling more people to get around without a car, but for times when you do choose to drive - commutes, events, family travel, airports - soon you'll be able to reserve a spot right from the Uber app

Our secret sauce is putting a digital layer on the physical world. Parking is a natural manifestation of that. Excited to bring Uber magic to (yet) another inefficient, fragmented, under-utilized, physical world experience investor.uber.com/news-events/ne…

@SecDuffy Dedicated curbside pickup ground transportation lanes at airports for parents who need a minute to install car seats in rideshare or family cars picking them up. Would help people with disabilities and the elderly as well.

Why is the file finder dialog on Mac so horrifically bad? There's no "go to parent directory" option. Even just navigating to my home folder is difficult. The "recents" menu seems to only include a small fraction of files perhaps from a few apps that opt in. It's insane.

PBMs are entities that negotiate with drug manufacturers on what drugs will be covered by insurance plans and what prices the manufacturers and pharmacies will be paid. Then they also “negotiate” with the insurance companies what prices they will pay for those drugs (in air quotes because the insurance companies’ captive PBMs control like 75% of the market). Those two prices - paid by insurers and paid to manufacturer/distributor - are decoupled, and the PBMs keep the spread. Inherently the incentive for any PBM is to negotiate prices to be set at maximum willingness to pay by the insurer and at lowest possible price paid to the manufacturer, in order to maximize their take. It’s even worse because the big insurer owns the PBM who’s keeping that spread, so they have no incentive to try and push the price they’re paying down. The net result is prices set for the consumer (whether they pay out of pocket or through their insurance premiums) are grossly overinflated. It’s not even about drugs that are patented and have a reasonable explanation for being expensive - you’re talking about stuff that costs pennies to make. PBMs should simply be eliminated, IMO - or at least I’ve yet to hear a steelman argument against it. Why should there be any additional delta between what a manufacturer or pharmacy is being paid and what the cost is to the patient? The supplier margin is already being covered.

@OptimumHelp @optimum our internet has been out since Friday, tech yesterday told us it was an issue with a box/node in the area (neighbors having issues too). You didn’t detect it as an outage, we all had to ask for techs to come out who then figured it out. No timeline on fixing other than “24-72 hours”…can we get something better than that??

@alexisohanian Do you think it’s different for non-founder CEOs (eg need to steer / guide more than direct)? Or is this just what all CEOs need to do?

Every time I see this my eye goes to the “starting at 8pm est” part, when it’s not actually happening tonight. Every time I see it, my brain’s first reaction is that it’s happening today. I didn’t notice the “coming soon” text until I was posting this screenshot! Scroll one thing over and the headline is “coming Sunday” which is obviously a lot clearer / more useful. @netflix
