🎓 Congrats to the 3 Cs — Drs. Cavaleri, Chartrain, and Chung — on successfully completing 7 years of neurosurgery residency training! I remember Intern Bootcamp like it was yesterday. Job well done! These 3 talented surgeons exemplify Confidence, Character & Collaboration, and will continue to set the bar even higher. Graduating from our elite USC #Neurosurgery residency program, they’re headed to fellowships @CUNeurosurgery, @Neurosurgery_CS and Cornell. @NeurosurgeryUSC #NeurosurgeryGraduates #ATeam #Elite #MedicalEducation @USCBTC

Low SDR has been used as an exclusion criteria in major trials of MRgFUS thalamotomy for medication-refractory essential tremor. This study adds to growing evidence that low-SDR patients can, in fact, be safely and effectively treated with MRgFUS. #neurosurgery #FUS

Imbalance was observed more often in high SDR patients on postoperative day 1 and month 3. Despite these promising results for patients with low SDR, there was a higher chance of procedure failure in the low SDR group with 3 patients not obtaining an appropriately sized lesion.

What an honor it was to have Robert Spetzler join us last week as a visiting professor @NeurosurgeryUSC. Truly inspired by the example he has set.
