MAHA GANAPATI, GOKARNA (Kar)☀️ Ganapati at Gokarna is believed to be of Ramayana Period. The mandir was built in honour of Bala Ganesha who saved Shiva’s Atma Lingam from Ravana. Shiva had given it with a condition that it should never be placed on ground. Ravana requested Ganesha to hold the Atma-Linga until he performed his pooja. Ganesha called out to Ravana thrice but Ravana couldn't come within the specified time. Without waiting further, Ganesha placed the Atmalingam on the ground and Ravana could not lift it back again. In anger, he hit Vinayaka on the head. A dent is still present on the murti’s head. Bhaktas visit this mandir first before heading towards Mahabaleshwar Mandir. Ganapati is also known here as Siddha Ganapati. Sparsha darshan (touching the murti) is allowed here.

I’m an iyengar with exposure to veda adhyayanam. I 200% support Annamalai. After the induction of Annamalai in BJP, there are set of people who are abusing him. 1. People holding office in BJP with back door dealing with Dravida parties. 2. People who misused Modi ji’s name and brand to make money. Once they achieved their target they started bad mouthing him. 3. People who wanted to be State President of TN BJP. I personally know one who has now moved to TVK to become laughing stock. 4. People who lost relevance because of losing grip in their political / service aspirations. They don’t even have the courage to continue with BJP with belief on their own worth / relevance. 5. DMK ADMK paid coolies. Just remember one thing. In TN, all these years it was Kalaignar vs Amma. Nobody dared to enter politics even if entered had to subdue as team B, C, D etc That’s how people like Vaiko, Thiruma have survived. Now the ground is seeing similar charisma in Annamalai versus the entire TN’s corrupt system. Annamalai is the only leader who placed Brahmins at par Jews who have lost so much in the history. No other leader dared to utter such level of support to brahmins.
