Yet the prison authorities decided to release him, just 13 years into his sentence. He was found guilty of the murder of Alana and her unborn child and given another life sentence, with a minimum term of 42 years. Conservatives pushed for this to be changed to a whole life order which has just been granted. He should never see freedom again. Too late for Alana.
