@TiltonC74 @TroyPSilva @MLB Okay but they’re more accurate than a human. You have to know that right?
English

@sidTIM_ @TroyPSilva @MLB Introducing fucking robotic abs, that is not even 100% accurate because nothing is, is an abomination to the game of baseball that is so ingrained to accept the human element that they have a stat for errors. You trying to sound intelligent is laughable.
English

@TalkinYanks @YESNetwork Run would score if it crossed home before the second out. Would not be an RBI either way. Idk why he cares if it’s an RBI THOUGH
English

Jazz Chisholm Jr. says he doesn't know if the game-ending run would have scored if he had gotten the out at 1B first, and then gotten the second out of the double play at second

@YumCaleb @Brant_Freeman Even better…two wild pitches. Then it’s 27 up and 27 down, with an unearned run and you lose
English

@Brant_Freeman Alright here’s one of my favorite questions.
MLB pitcher throws a perfect game, but game is tied 0-0 entering B10. Ghost runner at second scores after two sac flies, pitcher takes the 1-0 loss. Is it still a perfect game?
English

@TroyPSilva @MLB Fire all the umpires and play games without them? What would that accomplish?
English

@TiltonC74 @TroyPSilva @MLB This is a slippery slope logical fallacy.
Your argument is irrelevant. We’re talking about balls and strokes being accurately called by a machine, and that’s it.
English

@TroyPSilva @MLB Why not just code it up as an AI video game and just get rid of players and umpires.
English

@TroyPSilva @MLB Just because we have the technological ability to do something, doesn’t mean we should. We probably also have the technological ability to get rid of umpires all together, but is that really good for the game? Just computers making all the decisions and no human element?
English

@lehkycharm Why? Just read the information about what you’re buying.

@Jomboy_ “Have to go from the set”
What are you talking about? He should go from the set. It’s dumb to go from the windup with a runner on. But is there really a rule that you can’t go from the windup with a runner on? What are you talking about here? Did you misspeak?
English

@ScienceDaddio @Jomboy_ You’re right. You can pitch from the windup with a runner on, but you never would because if you do, then the runner can get a massive jump and steal second effortlessly if you pitch from the windup.
Unless there’s a new rule with the pitch clock i didn’t know
English

@Jomboy_ And can’t you pitch from the windup anytime you want? You can’t throw over to first from the windup, but if you’re up by 10 in the 9th, I’m not worried about the guys on base.
At least not immediately.
So confused.
English

@MarkMcD33489186 @Jomboy_ You’re talking about two different things. You can sidestep without balking. You can sidestep after stopping. He sidesteps here without balking
English

@Jomboy_ It wasn’t a balk it was a slide step which if you watch Gausman at all like I do as a Canadian and a jays fan would know he does every once in awhile. Umpire was wrong
English

@Jomboy_ Okay but you said he “has to go from the stretch with a runner on” but that’s not true. He can go from the windup, but it would be stupid if he did. But he doesn’t HAVE to go from the stretch as a rule
English

@BenchwarmerBran Well…as an ABS defender, I will say ABS is governing the zone differently than how the rulebook does. ABS is a flat plane, but the rulebook zone was any part of the plate from front to back. MLB did kind of change the zone
English

Easily the funniest side effect of the ABS system is the number of people exposing themselves that they never knew how strike zones worked in the first place
Ryan M. Spaeder@theaceofspaeder
Okay, can we do 50/50 at least? If more than half the ball is in the zone, it is a strike, if not, it is a ball. Because this is dumb. Sorry if that hurts you.
English

@Freed_Saint @baseballphilmck @ScoringChanges @Reds @Marlins If the single advanced people two bases in real life, then you could assume the single would score the runner from second
English

@baseballphilmck @ScoringChanges @Reds @Marlins You can't automatically assume a runner from 2nd scores on a single. It's just like you can't assume the double play.
English

🚨CHANGE 21🚨
4/9 @Reds at @Marlins
B7 the run scored by Agustin Ramirez is now an unearned run for pitcher Jose Franco, instead of an earned run
Change 2 for MIA
#ATOBTTR #FightinFish
English

@TheWARmonger_ @ScoringChanges I also find it funny that the fans that get the most upset over these non-errors are all the staunchest ERA, batting average, and pitcher win defenders
English

Because misjudging a ball and falling down isn’t an error. He doesn’t, for ease of definition, drop the ball, he falls over.
Tomas Deluc@sidTIM_
@Yankees @ScoringChanges Michael Kay said it’s “embarrassing” this was scored a triple. Can you please explain why this was correctly ruled a triple?
