Since the elderly aren’t wanting to downgrade their homes in this market. It maybe time to add these home elevators to the services we offer. Who wants a home elevator?

@BobFisher6zy @greendragonhq Plaster walls in buildings built in the 40’s and 50’s it’s a common problem, I’m sure the maintenance guys who have painted the walls a hundred times would appreciate your comment though 😂

@staceystarks @greendragonhq Never saw a lead paint test kit. Lead paint has been outlawed for use since 1978. That means the landlord has painted since 1978-1980. Walls looked awfully good to have 45yr old paint. This was a photo op.

Mayor Mamdani is going directly to residents private homes to ensure the landlords properties are safe and up to code for the tenants. Mamdani is running laps around every politician in the country at any and all levels of government. THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE!

@greendragonhq Interesting! The city has building inspectors that have gone around for years! Nothing gets done because nothing was the lanflords fault. Cracked plaster isn’t a building code issue, neither is paint. The rest is the tenants! This is all bullshit!

@DePiper75 @joeroganhq His pops was popular in the black community partly because he didn’t try to whitewash his ancestry. He would joke about being part black. Seems odd by today’s standards where Italian Americans call themselves white but his dad was legit.

@joeroganhq “My father wasnt considered a white guy”. I agree with his commentary about AOC… but this comment that he father wasn’t considered white is garbage. It’s his way of trying to sound oppressed. His father wasn’t considered white white. He just wasn’t a WASP

@kylecordes @BillDA Yes, that’s how it’s supposed to be done. It’s a ducted dehumidifier. For a crawl space with equipment/ductwork ducting would produce better results.

@BillDA I wonder if running a duct from the outlet of the dehumidifier down toward the other end of the basement would be sufficient to stir the air around without needing the extra fans. Fewer points of failure.

I was quoted $10,000 to install two dehumidifiers in my crawlspace. I saved $7,500 by designing a DIY custom crawl space dehumidification system with Claude 🤑 I am not an HVAC professional. Here’s how I did it. Our story begins with the discovery that our new home needed a dehumidifier installed in the crawl space to prevent mold. The professionals told me it would cost $10k, since I’d need one unit on each end due to the size of the space, plus a second drain line installed. “Can’t we just use fans to move the humid air from one side toward the dehumidifier?” They wouldn’t do that. Enter Claude… I uploaded a floor plan of my crawl space and air volume dimensions, telling Claude what I was trying to do. It researched the best dehumidifier sized appropriately for my air volume (100 pints apparently). Found me the best price - $1,500. Now it was time for fans 💨 I had originally envisioned the single dehumidifier at one end of the space, with fans on the opposite end. Claude taught me that would just draw more moist outdoor air in through the vents on that side, creating a linear flow through the crawl space. Instead it modeled the air flow and suggested a circular vortex with 4 fans, one on each wall, in a circle. That sucks in minimal outdoor air, keeping cool dry air circulating. I told it to research appropriate fans. It found four 20” sealed bearing fans on Amazon (impervious to dust), with DC drive motors (more energy efficient than AC apparently). $120 each. 🔌 It told me to buy a smart plug for each fan and a few internet connected humidity sensors. Another $200. Claude mapped where to install everything in the crawl space. Here’s how it works - the humidity sensors monitor the crawl space air continuously. If it ever exceeds 60% humidity, the smart plugs switch on all 4 fans, circulating the air in the crawl space past the dehumidifier until the humidity is below 50% 🔃🔃🔃 Total cost ~$2,500 for everything and one Saturday of work for me. I saved $7,500 vs. the original quote because I didn’t need two dehumidifiers, and Claude tells me my version is nearly twice as energy efficient. Plus I learned a ton about my home and had fun. I didn’t know anything about dehumidifiers, fans, or air flow dynamics before starting. AI can do so much more than write code - the applications are endless.

🚨Secretary of War Hegseth refused to rule out a ground invasion and American "boots on the ground" in Iran. He said there are currently no American troops inside the country. But when pressed on future deployments, Hegseth would not “go into the exercise of what we will or will not do,” adding that the U.S. will go “as far as we need to go” to ensure Iran’s conventional and nuclear military capabilities are “completely neutralized.”

I was just at a clients house and they just got quoted $50,000 for a new door. Said it was $100,000 door but they can get it for $53,000. Needless to say, we will be doing the front door now on top of their bathroom that they got quoted 55,000 for as well.

.@JohnMcCarthyMMA explains why Round 1 of Khamzat vs. DDP was not scored a 10-8: “There was nothing that Khamzat did—although he was unbelievably dominant—that truly showed damage. DDP needs to be hurt to the point where I see him starting to have a problem with what’s happening. He was being controlled, he was being dominated, but he was not being damaged. Dana White said, ‘That’s a 10-8.’ You’re not reading our criteria, are you? Because what does it take? Damage.”

There's a dangerous romance in the design industry with process. LoveFrom spent six months researching Ferrari's interior redesign. They delivered four books of research before a single design concept was even presented. Six months. Four books. For Ferrari, one of the most iconic brands on the planet. And the result? It looks like it belongs in a Fiat. This isn't a knock on LoveFrom specifically. It's a symptom of something much bigger: the industry has confused the weight of the process with the quality of the output. Here's the trap: when you spend six months doing research and deliver four bound books to a client, everyone in the room feels smart. The client feels validated because look at all this effort. The agency feels justified because look at all this work. The process becomes its own product. It starts generating its own momentum, its own gravity. And at some point, nobody can tell the difference between being thorough and actually being productive. But the customer who sits in that Ferrari interior doesn't care about four books. They don't care about six months of ethnographic research or mood boards or "strategic frameworks". They care about one thing: does this feel like a Ferrari? Does this make me feel something? And the answer, in this case, is a resounding no. This is what happens when agencies sell process as a proxy for talent. Process is a safety net. It gives everyone involved permission to not worry about whether the people doing the work are actually exceptional at the craft or the right people for the job. Because if the research was thorough, if the methodology was sound, if the strategy was airtight, then surely the output will be great, right? Wrong. Process doesn't design anything. People do. Process is just a tool. It is not the product. And the moment you confuse the two, you end up putting a Fiat interior into a Ferrari.

LoveFrom didn’t begin with sketches. They began with six months of research, culminating in four weighty books delivered to Ferrari. Printed in Italian and English, the volumes dissected philosophy, design heritage, Ferrari’s cultural meaning in Italy, and the interplay between attention and touch. These were not mood boards, but structured arguments — challenging accepted ideas, reinforcing others, and setting out the first principles for what a car interior should be in 2026.

This is what Tesla should have done. ✔️ 3 actual rows of seats ✔️ Space for luggage ✔️ 300+ miles of range ✔️ Looks like an SUV instead of a dumpster ✔️ Will take your family + dog on a road trip Toyota just announced the 2027 Highlander - a car that targets one of the most popular niches that customers actually want. But no. Of course the family that would buy this car would much prefer to take 3x 2-person cybertaxis on the road trip instead.
