Look, there are three possible explanations: (1) The tapes were illicitly obtained (in other words, they were stolen); (2) The tapes were made by someone who snuck a recording device into the Situation Room or someone used equipment tied to the room or got access to an audio file at the Situation Room complex; or (3) This was an "authorized leak." Possibilities (1) and (2) are shocking violations of law and national security protocol that should be investigated with every surveillance tool possible. But if this was an authorized leak, it shows you that there are people not thinking straight or on an above-board basis. Haberman and Swan are clearly not friends of the Administration. Why give them access? Why help the increasingly fading Gray Lady stay relevant? If a serious investigation is not announced within the next few days, you can safely assume that Possibility (3) is the correct one. And in that case, there are key people working against President Trump who are giving him terrible political and media advice.

Bethel Police Chief Chad Essert, 44, was taken into custody without incident Tuesday night in Seminole, Florida. Charges stem from offenses alleged by the victim between 2005-2010 when Essert was an instructor at the “Young Marines” and a teacher at Scarlett Oaks Career Campus in Sharonville, Ohio. This is Richard Webb. He's my father-in-law. He served two tours in Vietnam as a Marine Recon Sniper. He received two purple hearts for his service along with countless other medals. This photo is seven years ago... Today, Richard spends most days not knowing what the hell is going on because he developed type 2 diabetes from agent orange in Vietnam. My wife has been fighting the VA for over a year to get Richard the care and benefits he needs just to survive. The process is a joke. The service is a bigger joke. The VA case managers are absolute dog shit and treat our nation's heroes like garbage. They also act as if they're doing our vets a FAVOR for the most basic of care. @SecVetAffairs, I've been to your headquarters building in DC, and have first hand experience dealing with the incompetent staff. This is hands down the most embarrassing department in all of the Trump administration. If the Boss knew how horrendously our veterans are still being treated after you've had eighteen months to fix these issues, you'd be fired tomorrow. I waited a long time to write this, but at this point I've seen enough.
