@Blue_Footy This is just like saying the club should stop buying player because they could flop. The wage cap should be applied to new players but for players that have proven themselves then you should pay them what they demand.

Most argument people are making for Enzo is that he's been our best player and deserves whatever he's asking for. But, is he going to be the best forever? His form could deep next season and another player becomes the best, then that player will demand better wages. Is it sustainable? Cole Palmer was the best player before him. Nobody knows tomorrow. That's why salary cap exists. We can't afford to put ourselves in that kind of situation where every season, the best player will demand extravagant wages. It doesn't make any sense. Form is a temporary thing. We have to reward top players through performance related bonuses not only wages, unless it's within the wage structure. Performance is earned, nobody will frown at it but if he gets bigger wages than everyone, then if another performs better, he will ask for better contract and use that as a reference. That's why I feel it's unsustainable. Also, I believe Chelsea as a club really want Enzo to stay which is important, but if the contract extention talks is stalling, it means he's asking the club for what's above the wage structure because I don't think Chelsea will have any issues giving him what Palmer or Caicedo is earning.

@1jarvisx @InvertTheWing @todd_boehly @ebehdad I would personally keep Jackson/emegha to see how they perform, we don’t have Europe next season. Our focus should be LW, 2 CBs, & Gk. I agree with all the players we should sell, we also have quenda coming in so might be a massive upgrade on the flanks.

I think with Xabi Alonso, Chelsea need a big clear out in the summer. Far, far too many divas. The exact reason he failed at Madrid was his own team turning against him because of their ego. The likes of Fofana, Garnacho, etc. need to be out of the door immediately.

Oh boy.. let me borrow the ever green words of the Black Fish. “I’ve seen wet shits I liked better than Walder Frey.” Replace Walder Frey with Plug-In Hybrid. Anyway here are my takes on plugin hybrids. Why I think they represent the worse case scenario Thread.

@alucinante53 @Javert__ @yipikayei7 How so? Guardiola is more like Messi than either dembele or Neymar. He has done everything and has consistently won. However you want to look at it no Spanish coach comes close to pep. Simple as that. 😂

Don Unai Emery.

Yet he didn't win the Portuguese Super Liga. I’ve seen an undefeated team win the league in England and Germany but I haven't seen a team go undefeated and still not win the league. What a useless undefeated season and only the special one can break such an awkward record. 😂😂😂😂

Daniel Taylor, You really need to do justice to Sterling when writing. He broke out at 16, playing top level football, and now he’s 31. Out of these years, he was at the top for more than a decade. Many players don’t have that. I’ll remind you of what he’s achieved just incase you’ve led many people on, people who possibly have amnesia. Y’all cannot rewrite history. Sterling is the second youngest player to score for Liverpool, only behind Owen. Golden boy award in ‘14 (Best U-21 player in Europe) Scored over 100 goals in the premier league at age 27, the 8th youngest player to score over 100 goals. He’s also part of the PL-100 club. 5 Career Hat tricks…also scored the fastest hat trick in 18/19 season, it took him 13mins. About 100 premier league appearances for Liverpool Over 200 appearances for Man City, and playing under the most successful manager as a REGULAR. PFA Young player of the year FWA Footballer of the year PFA Team of the year UEFA Champions League Squad of the season twice Liverpool Player of the year twice He’s also an MBE, due to work he’s done for the black race. Promoting racial equality in sports. It doesn’t end here. 4 Premier Leagues 1 FA Cup 5 Carabao Cups 1 Champions league and Carabao Cup runner up. He also played close to 100 games for England, scoring many goals, very reliable and also led them to 2nd place at the Euros in 2020. Let it be known that Raheem Sterling is a LEGEND of the game, especially in the premier league. Let your write ups always cover it. Positive contents can do numbers, not just negatives. Thanks, Daniel.

“I feel pity because he was such a fantastic footballer. But if you feel pity… it’s over.” Jan Everse, the ex-Netherlands international, is not alone in feeling sad at Raheem Sterling’s decline. The man once tipped to win a Ballon d’Or cannot even get off the bench for Feyenoord and faces an uncertain future. So what’s gone wrong? And what happens next? @DTathletic nytimes.com/athletic/72534…

@JEHOVAHNISI @megaeazy3 @Onsogbu I agree this is very good content better than most things on TV now, but he is right to an extent. At university level you’re expected to have a deep understanding of topic and not just memorise answers which they clearly did. This is more a memory test than anything.

SITUATION: • 1v3, attacking the box • pressure from all facing directions SOLUTION: • creates two micro 1v1s (davies/Upa) • drives at the hips to provoke a response; either push (defender retreats) or pull (defender confronts) • shift through the ankle = immediate 2nd touch
