Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji, has approved one-time budgetary support of up to ₹10,000 crore for Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to stabilise Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices for Scheduled Indian Airlines. The support will be provided as interest-free advances through the Demands for Grants of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, aimed at mitigating the impact of fuel price volatility arising from the West Asia crisis. The measure will help ensure stable airline operations, sustain employment across aviation and allied sectors, and maintain seamless domestic and international connectivity. It is expected to support passenger and cargo movement, boost tourism and trade, and enable optimal utilisation of airport infrastructure, including those developed under the UDAN scheme. Overall, the initiative will strengthen India’s connectivity with global markets and contribute to sustained economic growth. #CabinetDecisions

Held an excellent meeting with HE Mr. Mario Voigt, Minister-President of the German State of Thuringia, and an industry delegation led by him. Known as the “Green Heart” of Germany, Thuringia is emerging as a prominent hub for green hydrogen and hydrogen technologies in Germany. A short while ago, I was conferred with the ‘Royal Order of the Polar Star, Degree Commander Grand Cross.’ This is not just an honour for me, but for the 140 crore people of India. A joyous moment for every Indian! Chola Copper Plates dating back to the 11th Century will be repatriated to India from the Netherlands. Took part in the ceremony for the same in the presence of Prime Minister Rob Jetten. The Chola Copper Plates are a set of 21 large plates and 3 small plates and largely contain texts in Tamil, one of the most beautiful languages of the world. They relate to the great Rajendra Chola I formalising an oral commitment made by his father, King Rajaraja I. They also showcase the greatness of the Cholas. We in India are immensely proud of the Cholas, their culture and their maritime prowess. I thank the Government of the Netherlands and Leiden University in particular, where the Copper Plates were kept since the mid-19th century. @MinPres

Today, at the 11th Brainstorming Session at IIPM, Gurugram, along with @PetroleumMin officials and leaders of our oil and gas PSUs, we discussed plans to strengthen our India’s energy future. Key deliberations included strengthening of Research and development, Innovation and startup ecosystem in Indian oil and gas space, focusing on further reforms in domestic E&P sector specially for deepwater drilling to increase offshore oil and gas exploration. देश की सामूहिक शक्ति से हम पहले भी कई चुनौतियों से पार पाए हैं। फिर एक बार देश की उसी सामूहिक शक्ति से हम वैश्विक ऊर्जा संकट के प्रभाव को देश में कम कर लेंगे। देश के प्रति अपने कर्तव्यों को निभाना भी देशभक्ति होती है। वैश्विक संकट के समय में, देश के अभिभावक, PM @narendramodi जी के आह्वान पर हमें अपने कर्तव्यों को सर्वोपरि रखते हुए कुछ संकल्प लेने होंगे और उन्हें पूरे समर्पण भाव से पूरा करना होगा। 85% आयात निर्भरता वाले भारत पर ऊर्जा संकट का भार आम नागरिकों पर न पड़े, इसके लिए सरकार खुद लाखों करोड़ का आर्थिक दबाव पिछले 2 महीनों से झेल रही है। आइए, ईंधन बचत का संकल्प लें। पेट्रोल-डीजल का उपयोग सीमित करें, पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट का अधिकाधिक प्रयोग करें। निजी वाहन जरूरी हो तो साथ में ज्यादा लोगों को लेकर चलें। राष्ट्रहित में उठाया गया आपका हर कदम, आने वाले भारत की सबसे बड़ी ताकत बनेगा। ऐसे कदमों से दूरी बनाएं जो भारत को आत्मनिर्भर बनने से रोकते हैं। विदेश यात्रा करने से बचें। अनावश्यक खर्च कम कर देश की आर्थिक मजबूती में योगदान दें।
