I did a presentation in college that included this guy’s story. It’s significantly more tragic and empathetic than “haha, he married his waifu.”
He did it cause he was the victim of harassment at work by female colleagues which led him to become terrified of speaking to women.

they do not supersede ATC. you contact ATC if there's a conflict with the lights and a given clearance, and ATC issues the final clearance. the lights do not supersede ATC
