The cool thing about AI is that it lowers the cost of doing lots of things. Turns out that lowering cost often increases demand and leads businesses to hire more people rather than less. For example, most companies couldn’t have afforded to build internal tools and hire expensive engineers a few years ago. Now it’s an expectation of your smartest employees, and you start asking “what else could they be doing?”

I know everyone is missing Fable. But I’ve been super impressed by Opus when giving it the right context, skills and linting and letting it cook. Even on the same model I’m finding it better at ambitious projects and requires less hand holding.

@whoisnnamdi Very cool analysis. The reason for the decline is in your data though - we’ve seen many years of growth, peaking in 2022. We are just returning to a more “normal” benchmark

@credealjunkie Well, show us the houses you're comparing here. I'm sure they're not comparable. Putting that aside, you shouldn't be looking at buying your primary home as an investment. It's really about what level of comfort you want for your family.

Up and down the Peninsula, you can either buy a house for $2 million and pay $12,000/mo in PITI, Or Rent a house for $5,800 and the call the owner when the toilet backs up. One of these is mispriced.

PART 2: What Happens to AppLovin if Apple Brings Back IDFA? Most investors think they know the answer $META wins. $APP loses. The reason why they are likely wrong is that they're analyzing the AppLovin of 2021. Not the AppLovin of 2026. Having IDFA back would make the market more competitive, but it would not magically erase five years of infrastructure building. @HarryStebbings You should check out starzero.ai, in all seriousness they are light years ahead and have already solved this problem

If someone solve this problem for 20VC, I will wire them $500. 1. We create compositions in Descript. Clips of good moments. 2. This is done in an audio file by me. 3. My team then have to go through them and make the same clips in the video file of the show. This wastes so much of the time duplicating work. The Descript integration with ChatGPT doesn’t work when you ask to “take the compositions made in the audio file and apply the same to video.” Literally, solve this and $500 is yours.

So far we've cut about $250k/year in software this year with a majority of that possible thanks to claude. Not just doing it to cut costs; it's primarily to have tools that improve our workflows or outcomes. But cost savings dont hurt.

@jacob_posel Seems brittle - why not have the sync jobs run automatically and call a bot in slack when you need something?

Example of how I use “loops” I have an orchestrator session in Codex. Every hour it checks for new external meetings. If it finds a meeting, it creates a new Client thread and pins it. That thread has its own heartbeat. It checks slack, email, and transcripts, creating a running context for each client. There I can continue work, or close out the thread if the opportunity falls through. These threads are managed by a Client Engagement worker in HQ, which has its own skills for creating proposals, updating the CRM, updating our client portal etc.

@codyplof You need to build an objective output QA. Grading is a shot in the dark and I’ve found too many false positives to be useful. Objective criteria would include basic stuff that can be detected “use x” or “no overlapping elements” and then have it generate 10 variants

Anyone found a way to run /loop or /goal in claude on subjective or design tasks? Would love to let it run on some long tasks like web design and have it grade it's own work over hours but haven't tried it on subjective tasks.
