[NEWS] Ford is saying sorry to dealers—with up to $240K in cash:
For context—back in 2022, Ford launched an EV certification program.
Dealers were told to invest hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars in infrastructure—
Or lose access to EV inventory.
Dealers pushed back hard—which is why Ford canceled the program two years later.
Now, the automaker is reimbursing retailers for some of those investments.
Moving forward—Ford dealers now only need two Level 2 chargers and some virtual training to stay certified.

Missed calls are costing dealerships major service revenue:
According to AI platform Numa — dealerships miss an average of 158 – 216 service calls per month.
And with each repair order generating $450 (NADA average) —
Some dealers are potentially losing out on over $1M a year in untapped revenue:
But missed calls don’t just hurt profits — they also damage customer experience and drive potential repeat business elsewhere.
Which is why AI is plugging the gaps more and more.
In fact — on average, 16,500 calls are answered by AI every year at the dealership —
Bottom line: AI is becoming the go-to tool for car dealers who want to compete (and win) in the market.

@ruff @GuyDealership Start with having same day reporting of missed and overall call volume in real time. We shouldn't have to wait until next day.

@CurbFixedOps @GuyDealership Hey, Andy on the Numa team... happy to help and hear how it could be improved.

NHTSA also is requiring Ford to review all of its recalls in the past three years to ensure they went far enough and, if necessary, issue new recalls. The company also has to meet with NHTSA officials quarterly. #Echobox=1731600335-1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">autonews.com/ford/an-ford-n…

@GuyDealership @ford should get @Lions Head Coach to run things. Farley is a clown who is not respected by dealers .

[NEWS] Ford’s hitting the brakes on F-150 Lightning output:
To help curb EV losses — Lightning production will pause for roughly 7 weeks – impacting about 730 jobs.
But that’s not all…
CEO Jim Farley says manager bonuses are now on the chopping block, too.
Basically — if costs and quality don’t improve by Q4 — bonuses could be slashed by up to 65%.
And the lowest performers could even face layoffs.
Big picture: The pressure to turn EV investments into real profit has never been greater.

The quickest way to sell more of anything?
Picking up the phone.
Sound obvious? Think again.
Only 40.6% of customers who set an appointment or test drive with a dealership are getting a confirmation call from a sales rep, according to @CarWars_ internal data.
Obviously a *major* red flag for any dealership sales department.
Every top dealer knows they’re not the only stop on a shopper’s test drive list…
But they *can* be the one who follows up.
